~Chapter 22~

Your POV

It's been about two months after you've Willow die, and about a month since you became the queen. He knew you hated it here but he didn't care.

You sighed and pushed your food around on your plate. It was okay you guess, just some simple peas and carrots, a steak covered in a sauce, mashed potatoes and some mysterious pink sauce around a golden blob of something.

You stuck the fork in your mouth and chewed slowly and glanced up quickly to see Kyo eating as well whilst staring at you. You quickly looked back down at your plate and gently rubbed your chin.

It was rough from the scabs covering your cuts but they were healing. You picked up your glass of water and sipped it slowly and looked up at Kyo. He smiled and picked up his glass as well. You smiled at him and his grin stretched wider and he sipped his drink.

Little did he know you slipped a little something in his drink before he sat down.

A little something called poison.

You tired very hard not to grin more as you saw him take a sip in the corner of your eye.

Kyo POV

When I saw her smile at me I felt my grin stretch even wider. She sipped her drink and I picked up mine and held it to my lips.

I let the water touch my lip and inhaled my drink. It smelled weird. Not like the wine I was used to. I sniffed again and the scent hit me.

Poison. 

Then it came together to me.

The reason she smiled at me in two months, the reason her grin stretched bigger when I raised my glass. I smirked and took a sip of the poisoned drink. 

I knew what I was doing.

"This is good." I said and smiled at (Y/N). She nodded and smiled back.

I felt my stomach churn as the liquid settled in my system. I clenched my fist as I felt pain shoo through my stomach and up my throat and frowned as I felt something warm trickle out my mouth and fall onto the plate.

I raised my hand to lips and touched my chin. When I pulled them back they were covering in thick, warm dark red blood. I chuckled and wiped my chin but more came sputtering from my lips.

I choked for air as the blood came out my mouth like a waterfall and started to fall my nose. I leaned forward and tried to call for help as the blood burbled from my lips. I only made a weird gurgling sound.

I tried to stand but my legs gave and I glanced at (Y/N). She was grinning like a idiot. I felt my vision turn foggy as I stumbled her way.

'You did this..Why?'  I thought as I approached her. I only made it halfway until I felt something hard hit my head.

I fell against the floor and felt my eyelids grow heavy. 

I caught a glimpse of (Y/N) running out of room.

I knew she wouldn't get far.
