I rolled over in my bed and sighed, staring at the clock, my alarm was set to go off in twenty minutes. I groaned and sat up, pushing my blanket off of my body and standing. I stretched my arms and back, then walked to my dresser and began rummaging through the drawers. After a couple minutes I pulled out a light blue t-shirt and a pair of tight jeans. I quickly got dressed and ran a brush through my hair, then I looked in my mirror and shrugged. My light brown hair looked messy because of it's waviness and I looked tired, my pants were tight around my legs, and my shirt was just slightly too long. I went into the bathroom and brushed my teeth, then went back into my room and put on my shoes. I made sure my alarm was off and grabbed my phone, shoving in my pocket along with my wallet, then I grabbed my backpack and went downstairs.

"You wake up early too?" My sister, Jade, asked as I entered the kitchen. I chuckled and nodded.

"Who needs sleep anyways, right?" I said sarcastically. She laughed and handed me an empty mug, I nodded at her and started to make some green tea, leaning against the counter as I waited for it to steep.

"Excited or nervous?" She asked after a second. I shrugged and turned to face her.

"I guess both, although there's not much to be excited about honestly, I fucking hate this school." I said. She nodded.

"At least it's your last year. And there is one reason to be excited." She said sipping her coffee. I looked at her and raised an eyebrow, then put sugar in my tea and started stirring it.

"Well your eighteen now." She said slowly. I took a deep breath and put a smile on my face as I turned to face her again.

"Yea, I guess thats a reason to be excited." I said walking to the living room. I sighed and shook my head, sipping my tea. I wasn't exactly excited about that either, it more made me nervous, especially since three people had already found out that their mates were in a different pack. It wasn't a bad thing necessarily, but it did cause tension since the neighboring pack wasn't exactly in alliance with us, we just kind of co-existed.

"Gonna walk with me?" Jade asked from the doorway, I nodded and put my cup down, then followed her out the door. We lived about ten minutes from the school, so we walked when the weather was nice. As we walked Izzy and William caught up with us and fell into step.

"Morning Jade, Good morning Cameron." Izzy said, starting to walk between us.

"Good morning." Jade and I said in unison. We all chuckled.

"How are you guys this morning?" William asked. I rolled my eyes and Jade shrugged.

"Well neither of us actually slept in enough for our alarms to go off, but not awful." Jade said. I nodded in agreeance. Izzy laughed and nodded her head.

"Same, I slept like shit." She said. As we reached the school I started to feel unnerved, noticing the restlessness from my wolf. I took a deep breath and sighed, trying to keep a relaxed appearance.

"You okay man?" Will asked me, I nodded and smiled at him.

"Just first day jitters." I said with a chuckle. He nodded and looked me over one more time, before turning back to Izzy and Jade. I noticed Ashton walking over and I waved at him, he waved back smiling. He hugged me and slapped my back, then gave Izzy and Jade hugs as well.

"How are you guys, other than tired." He asked laughing. We groaned lightheartedly and laughed with him, then he hugged Will and kissed his cheek before wrapping his arm around him. I looked away, feeling a sharp pain in my chest. I could hear them talking, but I wasn't listening enough to know about what, my mind and eyes were wandering. Dominic, our Alpha, was making his way over, and his sister Hannah was standing with her girlfriend River, who was in the other pack. The breeze blew my hair out of my face and an unfamiliar sent reached my nose. It was intoxicating, my eyes rolled into my skull in delight for a moment and I deeply inhaled. I had no idea what it was or where it was coming from, but I couldn't get enough of it.
