A/N: Hey!!! Long chapter ahead..please do not skip it because it covers the useful information about our main character, Jun seo's past..

Jun seo's family had no interest in him. Family isn't a word that should be used to describe his relatives.
His biological parents hated each other. Their marriage was forced. Kim Jiyeon, his mother wasn't interested in having a child...and having an heir was the actual reason because of which she was forced to marry Kim Sungyeon, who didn't want a child either...
But it so happened that one night, in the state of drunkenness and anger, when their emotions were heightened..they slept together..and he got her pregnant. Both of them didn't clearly remember what happened after they woke up and chose to ignore the weird feeling. But when the baby inside her started to show its presence..she started panicking. The first thought that came into her mind was to abort the baby...but the doctors refused as her life could be in danger if they tried to abort the baby. She already started developing hatred for the baby as it was the most unwanted thing she was having and it was ruining her life.

Sungyeon had already realised his mistake and wanted to live an independent and carefree life without any responsibilities. So he divorced Jiyeon as soon as he knew that she was pregnant.

After a few months a beautiful baby boy was born..who wasn't beautiful in his mother's eyes at all as she was blinded by the anger and hatred. She didn't even want to see his face.

Jiyeon's father was the only family member she had and he was on his deathbed at that time and unfortunately he couldn't do anything for his grandson except pitying him and naming him..he named him Jun Seo...he died two weeks after Jun Seo's birth..

The ownership of the family business had passed to Jiyeon after her father's death..she was at the office the whole day. It was a really good thing that she didn't send the baby to orphanage. His upbringing, education and health wasn't a problem as far as money was concerned...there was only one thing she couldn't...and didn't want to give to her son, and that was love.

Jun Seo, when he was 4 years old, always thought that the way his mother treats him is the way all mothers treat their children..but as he grew up he realised that he was wrong...and whenever he thought about that..his little heart broke into pieces.

"Do not call me mom again!! Understand?"  She slapped him hard..he was so little at that time but he clearly remembered that scene even after 23 years.

Jiyeon married the man she wanted when Jun Seo was 6 years old. That guy already had a boy...Jiyeon now had a complete family with a man she wanted...and in that little family, Jun Seo was not included..he was just there, in the background...there to be ignored by everyone..

Jiyeon's husband was a monster...when she was at office and his son wasn't at home..what he did to Jun Seo was unexplainable. He took him to the basement where servants were not allowed, where his screams couldn't be heard by anyone..he abused him and took out all his frustrations on that poor boy.

Jun Seo tried to tell his mother everything her husband did to him...but what he got in return was worse..she locked him in the same basement where those things happened to him, for a whole night. He screamed and cried all night..the next morning everyone acted like nothing happened...
