Gloria and Beatrice picked out this beautiful Emerald Green gown for Gloria to wear. It fit her as though it was made for her, It accented every part of her petite body. Beatrice had braided Gloria's long hair so you could see her face. Before the carriage left to take her and her father to Knight Roderick's palace, Gloria put on her tiara, she looked at herself in the mirror, and sighed, she jumped when she heard Beatrice calling for her.
"I'm Coming!" she yelled,
she looked at herself one last time, tried to put on a smile, and left her bedroom. Felix led her outside to the Carriage, her father was already there, she didn't say anything to him, she just looked outside the window and waved to Beatrice as the carriage pulled away.
When they got to Knight Roderick's palace, they where greeted by a man and a women, Roderick's parents Gloria thought.
"Oliver...Mary! Its such a pleasure to meet the both of you!" the King said.
Oliver then bowed, and Mary curtsied.
"Its more of a pleasure to meet you your highness" Oliver stated.
Mary looked at Gloria,
"And look at you! you are even more gorgeous in person!"
Gloria gave her a soft curtsy,
"Thank you for having us for dinner tonight" Gloria spoke in a gracious way, like every princess should.
"It's an honor honey, come...come inside"
They all walked inside, the dinner table was set up, it was beautiful. Gloria caught herself looking around and caught her eyes on for who she knew was Roderick. He was tall and lean, he had black short hair, and in Gloria's opinion, very stuck up. He walked over to her and bowed,
"It's an honor to have you in my presence Princess Gloria" He took her hand and kissed it.
Gloria looked at him, and suddenly gave a quick little smile when he came back up and looked at her.
"We hope you came hungry" Oliver spoke.
Everyone smiled at him.
"Come! dinner is served!"
Everyone took a seat. During the whole dinner Roderick kept staring at Gloria, as if he was a panting, drooling puppy. She felt a very uncomfortable vibe from him. After dinner and dessert, Roderick took Gloria outside in the garden for a walk. She couldn't even say one word during the whole conversation, Roderick would not stop talking about himself. Yup. definitely stuck up like I thought, she said to herself. While Roderick complemented himself, Gloria didn't know how she was supposed to marry this guy, they had nothing in common, he never let her talk, and he was so self absorbed that he barley recognized her, but she knew she had to give it a try, for her father, he was getting older, and she needed a king to rule beside her. When they got back inside, where Roderick's parents and Gloria's father were talking by the fire place, they all looked at the two of them.
"So, how did it go?" Mary asked her son.
"It went well..." Roderick looked at Gloria, she glanced up at him,
"...what do you think Gloria?" She looked at Mary, than at her father,
"I...I...I think it should work out just fine, can we just have more time to get to know each other?"
The King looked at her,
"Sure..."
he looked at Mary and Oliver,
"...would you want to come to the Castle tomorrow for a brunch?"
Mary and Oliver looked at each other, than back at the King,
