oof y'all not ready :')

"You see anything we need thas not on the list?" Larry asks as he hands Laurent the pad of paper filled with things they need from the grocery store. He scans it with a focused look, then thinks back to what isn't in the fridge or pantry.

"Eggs," He reminds simply, handing the pad of paper back to his brother as a look of realization comes over his face. He slaps a hand to his forehead, the one not holding a pen, and takes the pad from Laurent's grasp.

"Fuck, how I forget?" he mutters to himself, and Laurent only smiles amusedly before going back to flipping channels on the tv.

Once he's done writing down what else is needed, he looks over it one more time, then nods to himself and leaves the living room in haste. Laurent's eyes follow him until he rounds the corner, then his attention returns to the screen. He's back moments later, after Lau has found a cartoon to watch, with his wallet in one hand and folded list in the other. His phone sits obviously in his jeans pocket, soon joined by the list as he grabs the car keys from the little table beside the front door. He opens the door, but turns to his brother before stepping through the doorway. Laurent's gaze is already on him.

"I be back soon, it shouldn't take more than half hour, maybe." Laurent just nods languidly. "And if you need anything, anything-"

"Call you, I got it, Larry." He gives an unimpressed glare before sighing and turning back to the door. He only gets about halfway through the doorway though before he stops again, turning back to his twin with a pensive look as he bites his lip.

"Are you su-"

"Yes, I'm sure. I be fine, now go." He's shooed away with a wave of Laurent's hand as he sighs. "We need food, Larry, come on."

He rolls his eyes but turns to exit again. As he's closing the door, he yells back to his brother, "I locking the door!"

"Okay!" The sound of the lock clicking in place is heard over the dull noise of the television. Laurent watches the doors for a little longer, only dragging his eyes away when he hears the hum of the running car fade. He releases a heavy sigh and turns back to the tv, suddenly feeling a bit apprehensive.

Suck it up, Laurent, it's only half an hour. You'll be fine.

He breathes deeply to calm his spontaneous nerves, turning the tv up in the hopes that it will hold his attention until Larry gets back from the store.

Forty-five minutes later, Larry hasn't returned and Laurent feels the faint need to pee. He flips from channel to channel, trying to ignore his nerves and his increasing need for the restroom. He can hold it until Larry gets back, he's a big boy.

A big boy who needs his brother in order to go to the bathroom.

It's not that he can't, that he isn't capable, it's just that he's more at ease with Larry at least in the house while he goes so he's comforted with the knowledge that if anything were to go wrong or if he were to need help, he could just call for his brother without worry.

He shakes his head at his thoughts, looking down at the phone in his lap, waiting impatiently for something, anything from his twin.

A ping surprises him enough to jolt in his wheelchair. He immediately picks up the phone and swipes on the text message he's received from his brother.
