Chapter 19: Confrontation

Weeks passed. The exam is now over they're back to their normal life. Everything is still the same Sana and Tzuyu are still a sweet couple, Dahyun is still the same and Chaeyoung? Well she still have feelings for Mina but she's not showing it. And she's avoiding Mina to slowly forget her but it's not worth it.

The girls decided to eat outside the campus since its their lunchbreak and they want to eat something new. They ate at a restaurant it's Tzuyu's treat this time

"guys! What should we do later? I mean it's friday yoww! We should have some funnnnn!" Dahyun said excitedly while dancing crazily the others just laugh

"yah I'm serious" Dahyun stopped dancing and pouted.

"ew, stop pouting you're not cute" Tzuyu said and the others just laugh well except for dahyun cause she's glaring at Tzuyu (jokingly)

"but seriously though, we should hang out tomorrow, we've been busy these weeks we should atleast have some fun together" Sana said and the others nodded

"yeah, we should go find some chick!" Tzuyu jokingly said, but instead of laughing she recieved a pinch on her stomach from Sana that make her groan in pain

"chick ey?" sana said and removed tzuyu's arms on her shoulders and glared

"hey, I'm not finished yet. I was about to say find some chick for chaeyoung" Tzuyu said that made chaeyoung choked in drinking her water

"woah why am I getting involved here?" Chaeyoung said raising her eyebrows

"well this girl here is just making an excuse" sana said crossing her arms and rolling her eyes. Tzuyu just giggled to Sana's act.

"c'mon babe I'm just joking" Tzuyu is cupping Sana's face who's still glaring "aigooo. My girlfriend's so cuteee" Tzuyu said that made Sana blush "c'mon don't be mad at me babeee I'm just joking around" Tzuyu added

"whatever" Sana said who's hiding her red face "i'll treat you food later" Tzuyu said then Sana's expression brighten

"reallyy?!" Sana asked excitedly and Tzuyu just nodded because of Sana's cuteness "yeyyyy! Thank you babe" Sana said and kissed Tzuyu on the cheeks that made tzuyu blushed

The others cringed because of their sweetness

"yah! Go get a room you two" mina said and they just laugh

"so? Are we going to hang out tomorrow? Lets go find a chick" Tzuyu said and looked at Sana who's acting like she's going to punch tzuyu

"for chaeyoung!" Tzuyu quickly added before Sana could punch her. The others just laughed

"but why would you find a chick?when There's Mina" Sana said while giggling

Dahyun choked same goes to tzuyu who's drinking their juices, Mina widened her eyes and chaeyoung was shocked it's all because of what Sana said. They all looked Sana in a 'what-the- hell' expression

"what?" Sana asked in a confusion

They all went silent and everything went awkward until Dahyun broke the silence

"hey. U-uhm we have assignment right? We should go back to our classroom" Dahyun said faking a smile

"uh yeah" Tzuyu said packing her things

"uhmm can someone tell me what's going on here?" sana said making Tzuyu and Dahyun looked at each other while Mina and Chaeyoung stayed silent

"uhm babe c'mon I'll tell you later okay? Lets go. I'll send you to your school" Tzuyu said

"bu-" Sana can't finish her sentence cause Tzuyu already dragged her away from the table. And Dahyun also left but before she left she took a last glance to chaeyoung and Mina who's still sitting and left.

Mina's POV

Weeks have already passed since our exam ended and since chaeyoung confessed to me. It's still fresh in my mind, I can't forget it.

Chaeyoung and I are in an awkward friendship right now. She's been avoiding me, why? I thought we're good. And it's hurting me really. I miss her being clingy with me. I miss her being sweet to me. I miss her being a good friend to me. And it's all because of that one confession.

And now, I'm stuck in an awkward situation. Stuck between 'should I leave first?' and 'or should I talk to her'. It's all because of Sana. Ackkk Sanaaa!

Is she still hurt about before?

She stood up, fixing her uniform and ready to leave.

Isn't she going to talk to me? Woah, like a total strangers? What's happening chaeyoung-ah

I was just following her til we reached our school.

I ran after her. I need to talk to her.

"chaeyoung-ah!" I said grabbing her hand that made her stop. She removed her hand. She's not looking at me, I'm just facing her back.

'what's with her?'

"can we talk?" I asked her

"we are now" she said coldly. Seriously?

"I mean yeah but I mean a serious talk. Can we talk in private?" I said I heard her sigh and turned to me then she nodded.

I brought her to the place where there's no students. The garden

"so what is it?" she said as soon as we get in there. I took a deep sigh and look straight into her eyes

"chae are you avoiding me?" I said

"no"

"then why are you not talking to me? I thought we're good?"

"we are. I'm just busy"

"oh really? Then why are you not talking to me awhile ago? You just stood up and ready to leave, huh? Why is that?" I'm getting pissed here

"because.. Uhm it's because"

"because you're avoiding me. That's it right? Chaeyoung why? We're good friends back then. What happened? Is it because of that confession? You're going to end our friendship because of that damn confession of yours?" I said raising my voice I really can't take it anymore "it's funny how you said let's not be awkward to each other and you're the one who's avoiding me now. Wow" I said sarcastically and she just stayed silent

"chaeng it hurts me-" i couldn't finish my sentence because she cut me off

"hurt? Why are you hurt? You said you don't have feelings for me right? Then why are you hurt?" chaeyoung said and I was caught off guard

"I was hurt because we're friends-"

"ah yeah. Friends of course we're FRIENDS. You only see me as your friend Mina. And yeah I'm avoiding you. You know why? To forget my feelings for you maybe in that way I can move on. But no, I only fell for you even more." a tear escaped in chaeyoung's eyes as she said those words

"chae we can still be friends." I said and my eyes are getting watery

"mina it's not that easy! Maybe for you it is but for me? It's not! Mina I like you not just a friend but more than that. And I'm hurt that you don't feel the same way. It hurts when you know that someone you love will never love you back. And the only way to forget you and my feelings for you is not talking to you" I can feel my heart breaking into pieces as chaeyoung said those words. A tear escaped in my eyes. Then she left me. I cried

I saw her stopped walking amd mumbled something but I didn't hear her.

I cried but I'm covering my mouth. Why am I hurt? Is it because I don't want to end our friendship? Or is it because of something else?

Why does it hurt so bad?
