Zane walked in that day as pissed off as perusal...

But today was different, today he actually had a reason. He just kept thinking about what happened last week outside the dorm of his ex-fling.

How could this have happened? He kept playing the conversation over and over again on his head.

"Zane? Zane are you okay? Sorry for springing this on you. I just thought you should know. I still don't know what I'm going to do but I wanted to tell you," she said meekly. She bite her lip and walked back into her dorm.

Zane just stranded there. His brain was whirling around so fast. His stomach felt like it dropped to his feet. What did she just say? No no no.

Nana leaned back against her door and sank down against her knees up to her chest. For the past six weeks she had wondered what that night meant to each other. Was there a point? She had kissed him to get out of seeing Dante, but everything after? That was them. Just the two of them.

Her head was pounding against her skull. She felt like crying.

Through all the commotion neither of them had even realized the date. It was the week before Thanksgiving. School was off on Wednesday and they could both go home. What was even the point for Nana? It wasn't like she was going back to much. She didn't need too.

Zane in the other hand had his mother hovering over him waiting for him and his brother, Garroth to come home. This was the longest he had been away from either of them. Maybe going home would be a good idea for Zane. Clear his head for a few days.

He went back to his room and shoved the necklace in the front pocket of his backpack, what was even so special about. His brother, Vylad, had a weird habit of knowing too much and having interests in weird things. He dumped out all of the books and folders in his backpack. Zane opened his dresser drawer and grabbed a handful of each article of clothing and shoved them into his backpack.

Zane grabbed his stuff and left the dormitories. He was so caught up in the past hour that he didn't even hear the heavy rain outside.

Within seconds he was soaked from the rain. He ran through the parking lot for his truck. He got to his truck and threw his backpack in the passenger seat and climbed in the driver's seat.

He slumped his head against the head rest and put his hands over his face and screamed as loud as he could.

Nana was twiddling her thumbs a strange sort of pattern. Even though the past few weeks the phrase many doctors telling her that she was pregnant and the fetus is right were it should be. What? How was this even possible? Everything felt like a sick twisted dream. Like a shitty Wattpad story some bored sixteen year old writes to distress.

Nothing even felt real at this point. Then her phone buzzed. What could be happening now in the world? Her shaking hands turned the phone over and the screen was displaying a calendar notification.

Leave for Naomi's place

Already? How was almost Thanksgiving already? In the fast paced orbit of her brain wrapping around the circumference of her skull these past few whatever and time was still moving forward. Ridiculous.

Strange how time was nothing more than a concept that drive every mammal scheduled around. Yet everything is measured around it.

She sat up and dug through her piles of clothes. She was filling a suitcase contemplating whether or not if leaving was what she needed.

Keeping it would mean she would have to work more hours, move out of her dorm and live somewhere else. She probably couldn't even attend college anymore. She did the math in her head. Okay so mid October... One Two... January.... February... So late July... It would come in mid July according to her math. That was only eight months away. Whatever decision she made. She didn't have much time.
