At school the next day I hung out with the girl I had my arm around. Her name was Bethany. I knew it was a mistake, but I was done with Sky. She refuses to like me. We walked around, and found Skylar sitting on the bench writing in her stupid diary. What does she even write about? She is such a loner and doesn’t have a life good enough to write about. I told Bethany to wait there while I went to talk to Sky. Bethany walked around talking to people. She was what you called popular. “Hey princess”
“Not in the mood”
“And why not, did I do something wrong again”
“Can you just leave me alone please”
“a-“ I was about to say something back but Bethany interrupted
“Come on Hunter, let’s leave the little kid alone with her DIIAARY” well that was rude.
I stood up and looked back at Sky. Her head was down in her page, but I could see a tear drop mark on her page. And you have done it again Hunter. If there was a record for making a girl cry, I would own that title. Sudently I heard Skylar call out “at least im not a slut like you”
Wow this just got intense.
“Excuse me?!”
“Oh you heard what I said, you’re not deaf as well are you?” said Skylar standing up.
“No but I sure as hell don’t write in my diary” now they were standing face to face. Was it wrong that I did nothing because I kind of enjoyed watching this.
The next thing you know Bethany slapped Sky hard across the face.
I ran up to them but the said in sync “STAY OUT OF THIS!” I took a step back and had my arms in the air like when the police say ‘put your hands in the air’
Finally Sky slapped her back. And the sound echoed. After that a crowd started to gather around. Then I heard Bethany say “oi Skylar why did your dad leave you and your mum, I hope it wasn’t your fault” when she said that my mouth opened and formed and ‘o’ along with the harsh comment she hit her again and Sky was down. I ran down to help her up. “Why are you helping her?!” Bethany yelled. Before I could answer Sky stood up and whispered “You guys are perfect for each other” and walked away. I really wanted to chase after her but people were watching and I didn’t want to ruin my bad boy reputation. Imagine what would happen if a dated a goody two shoes like Sky.

I found her back in her room with her back towards me.
“Hey princess” she looked at me and my heart dropped when I saw her face. Her eye was light purple and her lip was slightly deformed. “Holy shit, are you alright?!”
She walked over to the window and whispered “don’t act like you care”
“I do” I said almost begging her to believe me.
“Tell me pretty boy, did you leave my there to keep your bad boy reputation”
“u-umm” she didn’t let me finish
“You’ve said enough, bye hunter” and then she was gone once again.
*SKYLARS POV*
How did she know about my dad? No one knows about my dad. I kept it from everyone and know the whole school knows. I know I shouldn’t think it’s my fault but him leaving was my fault. I was a mistake. My dad left when he found out my mum was pregnant with ‘me’ the thought of him made me cry my eyes out.
