Today is April 30. I've been working on schoolwork almost non-stop. Draco has stopped showing up to lessons. Every time I try to offer him my notes about what he missed in class I always get the same response 'I don't need your help!'
I threw my books down on my bed and went downstairs. I started walking down the hall when I saw a streak of blonde disappear into a wall. A wall? Really, Nova? Get a hold of yourself. I continued down the hall and turned into the great hall. I took my seat at the Slytherin table and ate. Draco never turned up for dinner. That's a first. I mean, he's slept through breakfast, but I've done that too. I felt sympathy for him, mostly because I could never miss a meal and not make up for it. So, seeing as I have no evening lessons, I made Draco a plate of food, went back to the common room, sat down in front of the fire, and waited. I was determined to find out where he has been disappearing to for so long. The kid's been so busy he hasn't even asked me to the ball. I had to turn down Blaise, Crabbe, and Goyle. (whom I parted with by calling Slim and Chubby)
People started coming into the common room, murmuring goodnights as they passed. Was it really that late? I looked at the clock. 11:56. Almost midnight. Now seriously, where is Draco? I spent the next five minutes wondering where he could go. Then the common room opened. My back was to the door so I couldn’t see who it was. I stood up and spun around. Draco was standing right behind the couch.
"What are you still up for?" He asked me.
"Look who's talking..." I answered him. He was very pale, and had bags under his eyes, which were bloodshot. He looked like he hadn't slept in days. "Where have you been?"
"I've been... getting tutored." He looked ashamed at the thought.
"Draco, I've asked if you needed help in your classes and you told me no," he let out a 'damn' under his breath which I think I wasn't supposed to hear. This pushed me to continue. "You know I've gotten top marks in all of my classes. Why didn't you ask me for help?"
"I... don't know. Will you just let me get some sleep, please?"
"What? You think I'm going to let you sleep on an empty stomach?" I grabbed the plate of food and thrust it at him. "Here"
"I don't need help from you! How many times have I told you that?!" Draco shouted at me putting the plate back on the table. What is wrong with him? He's never acted this way before...
"Fine then! Since you don't need my help now, don't come crying to me if you ever need help with something!" I turned on my heel and went up the stairs. I went into my room to see the other girls already asleep. I changed into my pajamas then crawled into bed. I considered crying myself to sleep but I didn't want bloodshot eyes in the morning. I noticed the silver on my dress glimmering in the moonlight. I fell asleep dreaming of ways Draco could ask me to the ball.

I woke up before the morning alarms started going off. I made my way to the showers. After I was finished, I went back to my dorm and got dressed. My black hair was a mess so I just threw it in a messy bun. I grabbed my bag and headed for the common room. A nice early breakfast with no interruptions is what I need. I entered the common room to find Draco asleep on the couch with a plate on the floor beside him. Mission accomplished. I started walking again but, of course, I tripped. And not one of those quiet little trips, a big-ass almost-fall-on-your-face trip. Draco started to stir so I made my way to the door. The door creaked louder than it ever has before and Draco woke up.
