Chapter Eleven

I stormed down the hallway with my dress billowing out behind me. My feet were pounding on the stone floor. I was pissed. I understand being a few minutes late. But an hour? What the hell? I passed the side entrance to the Great Hall, where I could hear music playing. At the end of the hall I saw a bunch of people walking very close together, all wearing black. Lingering behind them, in dress robes was Draco.

"Draco Malfoy!" I said with venom. I was still walking towards him but he stopped dead. As I drew nearer, I could see the faces of the group of people. I recognized one of them as Bellatrix Lestrange.

Wait. Bellatrix?

I did a double take and realized she was cackling and advancing on me. All the people in the group were Death Eaters. I didn't say a word, I just turned and sprinted back to the side entrance of the Great Hall. I pushed the door open and ran into Neville. He was holding me in an almost hug-like way, so he pushed me back and held me at arm’s length.

"What's wrong, Nova? You look terrified." He asked lowly. I didn't think I could speak, but I tried.

"Dea... Bella..... Strange.... Here!" I managed to choke out at him.

"Did you say Bella Lestrange?" He asked, wide-eyed. I shook my head yes. He ran one hand down my arm and found my hand. He pulled me into the crowd and shoved me towards Harry. Just then a voice was heard, loud and low. But it couldn't have been made by a student or teacher, it was that loud.

"Give us Harry Potter. Give us Nova Snape. Hand them over and no magical blood shall be shed. You have ten minutes." It said. As it spoke, I leaned in closer to Harry.

"I'm not leaving" I said in his ear.

"He's right there! Someone grab him! And her too!" Pansy Parkinson shrieked.

"Thank you Miss Parkinson, you may lead your house back down to the dorm rooms. Run along now." McGonagall spoke to her.

"Harry, there are Death Eaters in the school." I said, with my head still by his ear.

"I know" He said. "I'm going. Nobody else is going to die for me"

"Harry, no," Ginny said to Harry. He took a step forward, but Ginny held him back.

The doors to the great hall opened and in marched 6 Death Eaters. They started firing spells in every direction. I pulled out my wand and started screaming stupefy and any Death Eater I saw. Just as I hit one, another wave of 10 Death Eaters marched in.

A spell hit me in the stomach and I fell to the floor. I quickly got up and checked the damage. A long cut had been made on my stomach but wasn't bleeding too badly. Another spell was launched at me but I blocked it just in time. I ran back into the crowd of students, looking for ones who needed help. Seamus Finnigan was pinned under a Death Eater. I ran towards him.

"Don't touch him!" I screamed and stupefied him. I don't know why I said what I did but that doesn't matter. I offered Seamus a hand and pulled him up
