Kai's P.O.V
Kai glanced back at her, hissing a "You—" before Kane yelled out, "Kai! My man! Oh and lookie here~" Kane's eyes met Elizabeth, "Who's this?"
"None of your business," Elizabeth snapped at him.
Kane's eyes widened at her snappy response, he looked at Kai. "Got yourself a feisty one, eh?"
Kai sputtered a response. "N-no, um, that isn't what we came to discuss, Kane, as I'm sure you figured out."
Kane sighed, and then grabbed a long duffle bag from the sandy floor and dropped it on the table. "Here," Kane said, "I kept it safe, like you asked, though... I wished you'd tell me what is it."
Kai smirked slightly.
"You know that's not how this works, Kane. I know you." Kane just shrugged in response. "We'll be going now, cya," Kai saluted him, and grabbed Elizabeth's hand, pulling her out before she could have a chance to blow their cover.
"I wanted to talk though!" Elizabeth whined, still acting like a child that didn't get their toy.
"You," he paused, "you aren't very good when it comes with talking. You'd probably give away all the information, and Kane would've snatched the trident from right under us."
She pouted.
His hand was still clasped around hers as he led her to the edge of the city again, to where people couldn't seem them. He started to open the duffle bag.
There, like he had left it, was the Trident of Poseidon in its magnificent glory.
Kai glanced at the trident, then to Elizabeth, and back again. "Hey... I have an idea..." he abruptly grabbed her hand and wrapped her fingers around the trident's base.
"What are you—"
Almost exactly when she touched it, the Trident glowed a bright blue before fading to a dull sparkle. "I wonder..." he held her hand, guiding it to move the trident in a circle. A whirlpool started to form.
Kai's eye widened and he glanced at Elizabeth, her mouth agape.
And then, they were pulled through it.

The gates of Atlantis loomed in front of them.
They'd made it back to Atlantis—somehow.
Kai fumbled with the trident when they had stopped, feeling nauseous from the obvious g-forces he'd been exposed to.
He hadn't expected his odd thought to actually have been true. Abruptly, he quickly shoved the Trident back into the duffle bag, before any stragglers around the gates could get a look at it.
"Surprised that worked," he whispered to Elizabeth.
"How did we get here?!" Elizabeth whisper shouted, seemingly not wishing to draw attention.
He shrugged lightly, "I just sorta moved it around," he said, gesturing his hands in a circle, "I thought it'd like summon some dolphins or something, "but hey, this is better."
"Summon dolphins!? Who do you think I am?!" Elizabeth exclaimed, obviously annoyed at his words.
Kai felt a hand smack him upside the head, pretty hard.
He only grinned and shrugged once more. His eyes stopped at the gates, and past them, the spiraling towers of the castle.
His grin faded.
"...So I guess we are going to give back the trident now?" Kai had done many of heists, but getting the Trident of Poseidon was one of his best, so he almost felt attached to the item. After all, it was worth more than he could even imagine.
