ALSIE could only smile as she looked at the name that kept appearing on her phone screen; that name she would never forget. She couldn't imagine why Cordelia would be contacting her. She stayed away from New Orleans for five years now, signing that damned contract and leaving with haste as if she had the devil snapping at her heels. She didn't keep up her side of the bargain. Maybe that was why the witch called her, to scold her like a mother to their disobedient child.
Alsie dropped the cellphone on her bed, the urge to replying to Cordelia not present at the moment. She couldn't imagine talking to the woman who should have been her meal. Of course, after the years, she got over it. She was quite content with knowing that spunky witch still held claim in the city of Jazz. She was the only magical being that Alsie enjoyed, having met other unworldly creations in her lifetime but not finding the adoration like she had with the blonde beauty.
She would just have to wait.
Because in this moment, Alsie had something more problematic on her mind. A certain entrepreneur of the deathly arts that requested her whole presence to be made in his suite...for dinner. She thought he would create a soiree in the cop's private rooms, but she was later told, through Liz, that it would be held in Room 78, the master's event suite. Alsie was twiddling her thumbs as she looked at the dresses she had laying carelessly in her trunk.
This man seemed to find regality in her, a celestial being that walked this god forsaken earth. Alsie could laugh at that description for herself. She could only see the dangerous vagabond that held her sadness and heartbreak inside like buried treasure. Except it wasn't that. It was piles of depression that she kept, like dust that lingered under the bed where forgotten things stayed but would be found later on.
Alsie groaned and sat down on the floor, leaning her head back against the mattress of the bed. She didn't know what to wear, let alone what she was going to even say. She's dined with princes, had relations with arrogant celebrities and even the lowest of working class. She's been introduced to every person there is. But yet, she was struggling to face this one compelling individual.
