"I'm surprised you don't already know" He rebuts. His voice grows huskier while his head lowers as he crosses his arms over his chest.
I raise both of my eyebrows in an attempt to convince him that I don't.
"Should I?" I question. My voice heightens...
He already knew I was here so I couldn't seclude myself.
My introverted ways were clawing at my skin causing me to begin to slightly tremor while butterflies grew in my stomach.
The boy speaks.
"I didn't quite catch your name" He says, extending his hand and cocking his head back while his voice grows deeper.
Of course, my defence mechanism comes to the rescue. Sarcasm. My best friend.
"That's because I didn't throw it" I retort, flipping through the pages of Don Miguel Ruiz.

He raises his eyebrows and purses his lips in an attempt not to laugh, fearing I may spit out something else to bruise his ego.
A cat noise escapes his lips.
"Feisty I see" He presumes.
He deeps exhales.
"Seriously though," He speaks, resting his cheek in the palm of his left hand, leaning across the table inching closer to me as if he is a believer that 'the eyes are the windows to the soul'.
Perhaps he is. That's something I genuinely don't know about him. Obviously, there is a lot more to people than meets the eye, especially when those people are celebrities. Though I wasn't sure that Noah had much that concealed himself or his qualities.
He was so genuine. Authentic. Nothing felt off about him. He realistically seemed like those 'what you see is what you get' kind of people, and they're rare to come across. Which led me to interrupt him, raising my eyes from the word-filled pages below me.
"Evangeline" I reply, slightly tilting my head to my left, revealing the better side of my face.
"Cojocaru. My middle name is Gabriella too if that counts for anything. God thats confusing"
He begins to chuckle at my expression issues and how i'm stumbling over my words.
"I should've just said my full name from the beginning. Sorry" Naturally and nervously, I look away, anxious to make any eye contact due to my fear of him seeing me the way I see myself.
"I dig it" He offers a warm smile.
He pauses when silence falls between us.
"What about nicknames? Do you have any?" He questions, seemingly wanting to get to know me.
I know him though. How hasn't he picked up on that yet. Maybe i'm not making obvious. That's a good thing. Right?
"People think Evangeline is kind of a mouthful, so they just call me Lina" My bottom lip falls between my teeth, nervously picking at the chapped skin on my lips.
