Chapter Four

Elis POV

The meeting lasted for the next three hours since it was it was mainly based on the finance of the new project.

"Ok ladies and gentlemen thank you for your time and support since this project is sealed here we will be starting grounding work from next month and it's opening party will be held next weekend thank you all once again you may take a leave now."spoke Mr. Arrogant. I can't believe this person being so polite man it's shocking. This person just right in front of me who just changed my name to Walters to bolters can't be so polite; I can't believe my ears.

My thoughts were interrupted by Sarah "where are you lost, don't wanna go home?"she says smiling at me. I smile back we shall go" I said as we moved out of that room but we parted our ways when we got to the road side.

I thought of going and meeting aunty Lana as the visiting hours finish at 9 so am lucky enough. I called Laura to check if she was still there or home already she picked her phone just in the first ring wow she is never so fast in picking up her phone. "Hey Laura where are you!" I asked as soon as she picked up her phone.

"At home, where are you" she asked back." Just came out of the office thought of Aunty Lana"I said. " lucky before time you have one hour"she said happily. "Yea ok see yea at home bye"I said "bye" she replied. I hang up the call heading towards the road to catch a taxi to hospital.

I tried to shake my hand calling for a taxi but I noticed something strange the sound of a truck horn. I looked around to see a truck speeding of in the direction a women is crossing the road she is on a phone call and failed to notice the truck.

I rushed in the direction she was shouting out for her to move. When the truck was about 50meters away from her she finally noticed it and it send much relief to me.

But NO she just stood there in awe now I started running towards her. Maybe she was too shocked to move. Sprinting towards her I pushed her off the road and also fell on the side my self. "Ouch" I said as I got some injuries on my forehead plus my left arm maybe was sprained.

I still looked in the lady's direction to see if she was okay. But found her lying unconscious I panicked and quickly got up to go to her though I was hurt. The place around us was already crowded. People standing mumbling taking pictures but no one offers to help. Crap this makes my anger reach the ninth cloud.

When I reached her people surrounded her and one even bothered to call for help. I noticed a pole near her and realized that when I pushed her she might have hit the pole and gone unconscious. "Shit" I murmured under my breath. "Can someone call for an ambulance or a taxi so we can rush her to the hospital" I called out.

"Move...,move" I heard some shuffling noise in the middle of the crowd. I looked up to see it was uncle mike. Uncle mike is my usual taxi driver. "Elis" he said taking the lady out of my hand helping her in the taxi by help of some men there. He came back to fetch me looking at my injuries my whit coat was all blooded because of my injuries. We got in the taxi at headed towards the hospital.

Fortunately the lady did not have much injuries compared to me I guess she just passed out due to shock and definitely by hitting the pole. When we reached the hospital she was helped out by some doctors and nurses where as I was taken to the general ward yo cover up my wounds.

I was lying on bed the nurse cleaning my wounds when darkness over took me. I woke up trying to sit up on the bed when a sharp pain sting through my my left wrist." Awoo" I exclaimed in pain.

The nurse who was there taking care of me smiled at me. "You passed out when is was covering your wounds" she said and nodded and smiled back. "You have some minor injuries on your forehead and scratches on your left arm and also your left wrist has a sprain" she said and agin nodded.

" uhmm where is the lady I brought to the hospital" I asked." Oh she is in the room 246." She replied. "How is she?" I asked again. "Good actually you can meet her and she can be discharged today"she replied with a shrug of he shoulder. I nodded and looked for my phone to check the time. When I opened my phone 30 missed calls from Laura popped on the screen. "God damn I forgot to talk to her." I murmured. I stood up from the grabbing my stuff heading towards the lady's room and called Laura. She immediately picked her phone. "Elis where the hell are you idiot, am so worried! Where are you?" She said all in one breath worriedly. "Babes calm down am ok right! I just met an accident.."I was cut off by her. "Accident!" She exclaimed." You just met an accident and you are saying you are ok" she continued.

"Laura don't worry am perfectly fine, ok." I said trying to calm her down. "Babes what actually happened?"she asked. "Ok see I was crossing the road to catch a taxi to go to the hospital when I saw this middle aged women also crossing the road and a truck was about to hit her so I pushed her to save her getting myself and her both hurt a bit" I said walking in the elevator.

"Oh are you ok? Do want me to come over? " she asked in a rushed I could the sound of the keys over the phone. "Laura stop, am fine and I'll be home by 11.30 or 12.00. Ok. You take care and rest ok and I could not meet aunty Lana am sorry" I said with regret. "Elis it's fine you also take care"she said and the door of the elevator opened. "Ok I'll just check on the lady and come home ok bye"I said "bye take care"she replied and we hang up the call as I entered the room 246.

"Hello ma'am" I said with a slight smile on my face. "Uhmm.... am sorry I pushed you out of the road and you got hurt" I continued looking down at the floor as I walked in. "It's fine dear actually thank you. You just saved my life today" she said trying to sit up on her bed as she saw me but I stopped her and smiled sincerely at her and she smiled back.

"Uhmm ma'am" I was Cut off by her "oh please don't call me that. You can call me aunty or Daisy by my name"
She said smiling at me. "Ok..." I trailed off. "Aunty can I have the number of your family so can contact them about your whereabouts" I said looking at her. "Aww that's so sweet of you my daughters number is +679 2754331" she told me the number with smile not leaving both our faces I called her daughter and left the message. " ok aunty I got to go though it's Saturday tomorrow but I have to go early to office to pick some files so see you when I see you" I chuckled a bit saying that so did she. "Bye bye" I said before existing the door so she also replied "bye bye and thank you soo much again" she said "that's not a problem bye" I said to her with a smile on her face and went out of the room.

I went off the elevator to the reception paid the bills for both me and her and trailed off to home.
