when i dream
i see the perfect scene
the perfect life unto me
that i will never have or never be
but i think of happy things
things that i like
things that make me laugh or smile
things that seem great for a while
but reality hits
and here's the thing
all these dreams are moments
life will never bring
and it makes me sad
then it makes me smile
it helped to think
happy things for awhile
