"Good morning class, please be seated. We'll have 2 new students joining our class from today onwards. Please introduce yourselves." Our teacher motioned for the 2 students to move forward.

It has only been 2 weeks of school and yet there were already transfer students, a guy and a girl. I don't know whether it was a good thing or not, but it could be a good chance to give a good impression and finally make a lady friend.

Since Yuta and I only shared Chemistry, PE and Math class, it gets pretty lonely during the other classes.

One of them stepped forward and introduced herself to be Dong Jiafei and the other to be Dong Sicheng, they both also turned out to be twins.

But I couldn't hear anything else from them since all the ladies were gushing about Sicheng and guys gushing about Jiafei. But I guess I'll admit it too, they were pretty good looking.

But I felt like I've seen one of them somewhere...

Jiafei's seat was right beside mine and her brother's right behind mine, not a big surprise since I was seating the back of the class and it was the area with most vacant seats.

"Alright, now please turn your book to page 17." The teacher hushed everyone, signalling the start of class.

However before I could fully concentrate, I felt a tap on the side of my table. I turned around and saw Jiafei smiling at me intently as she said absolutely nothing.

I didn't know what to do and smiled back but she just kept smiling at me. It was starting to feel weird.

"Is.. Is there something on my face? Why'd you keep staring at me like that?" I whispered as I consciously touched my face.

"Oh! I'm so sorry, how rude of me, I just thought you were pretty." She said when she snapped out of her stare.

"Uh.. Thanks?" I said, taken aback by her sudden compliment.

"Hey you 2 over there, do you want to share the interesting topic both of you are so engrossed in?" The teacher chided us when he caught us.

We both shook our heads and lowered it in embarrassment as he went back to his lesson.

"Pst... Pst... Psstt!" Once again, before I could concentrate on the lesson, I was disturbed by Jiafei. I turned my face to her once more and gave her a patient smile.

"So back to our conversation, I'm Jiafei as you know, what's your name?" She asked, in a not-so-soft voice.

"I'm--"

"Younghee and Jiafei, out of the class!"

[a few moments later]

"Well, at least you know my name now." I chuckled.

"I'm sorry, I guess it wasn't the best time to talk." She sheepishly grinned.

"How did you just notice that?" I gave a genuine laugh now.

"I guess you're not so bad after all, I thought the people here would be mean to me." Jiafei said with a smile on her.

"Same to you, you're not so bad, you seemed pretty annoying at first. Sorry." I said.

"Then it's decided! Let's be friends," She eagerly helded out her pinky finger, waiting for a pinky promise.

I hesitated for a bit but hooked my pinky with hers as I saw enthusiastic face. As we spent the rest of the lesson standing outside the classroom, we talked and got to know about each other.

As I got to know her more, I found her to be more and more interesting, in a cute way. It was as if she stepped out of a shoujo manga book, the cute, clumsy and childish kind of girl who gives the impression of a small hamster.

As the day went by, I thought she'd hang around her brother but no, instead she stuck onto me for the entire day, wherever I went as it turned out, we share all our classes.

It was as if I got myself a pet, in a non annoying way. At the same time, it felt strange to finally have a friend beside me, so I guess it wasn't so bad...

Even during lunch time, when I planned to spend my time with Yuta, she was around. Plus, for some reason, her brother also followed us.

But upon meeting Yuta, they both gasped and ran up to each other dramatically.

"Yuta?!" "Sicheng?!" "Since when did you come here?" It was like watching 2 star crossed lovers meet after a 100 years.

That's when it struck me, "Oh! He's the guy I said was good looking last time!"

"Aw, me? Good looking? Thanks," Sicheng beamed. "See, I can get a girl if I want to." He said as he smirked at Yuta.

"Oh wait, I didn't mean in that way--" But before I could finish, Yuta pulled me to his side and wrapped both his arms around me.

"Nuh uh, she's mine." He said while sticking out his tongue at Sicheng childishly. But I was just flustered when I realised that we were in front of other people too. But Yuta gave no notice to them as he wrapped me tightly into his chest.

Mine. The word stuck in my head.

Jiafei was smirking her head off as she wiggled her eye brows as she watched me getting hugged. I felt myself getting warm and quickly escaped Yuta's embrace.

"Wait what! This was the girl you were talking about every night?" Sicheng gasped.

Every night? I blushed unknowingly but at the same time, I felt happy somehow.

"That's so nice, I want a girlfriend too." Sicheng whined as I nervously laughed. "But, I-I'll be your friend. I'm Younghee." He quickly brightened up and shook my hand.

Right then, I felt really content, being able to laugh with other people, something I haven't done since middle school.

This feels nice, I hope it can be like this forver.

I wanted to believe that.

But nice things go fast. As experience has taught me.
