Summer POV
Wendy headed for me but the door burst open. Chase and Duke jumped at Wendy and wrestled with her while Shane, Heath and Jay came to me and started untying me. I stared at nothing. All I could see was Nixon, Galen and Morgead getting shot. I heard them all talking to me but it was only faint. Heath got my hands untied and my body flopped to the floor. I didn’t know what I saw but more blood splattered on my face. Chase and Duke came over to me and gathered around me.
“What happened to her?” asked Chase.
People were saying my name but I couldn’t respond.
“She’s been traumatized,” said Shane.
“We have to get her to a hospital!” demanded Duke.
Chase picked me up into my arms and carried me out of the room.
“Chase?” I mumbled.
“Summer! Oh my God, Summer!” he exclaimed.
They all gathered around me and stared at me.
“I’m sorry…” I muttered and then my eyes closed.
