Chase POV
We followed James into the lounge room and then he stopped. He turned to talk to us as Jay came in.
“If she goes to school, will you guys take care of her?” asked James.
“We have for ten years,” answered Heath.
James’ nodded, “Right…I’m gonna call my dad to come home so we can take her to the doctors after school. If she vomits again, bring her home and call me.”
“Rightio,” said Shane.
For some odd reason I sniffed and I sensed Summer leaning against the door rail.
Summer’s here, I said.
“Why do you have to be the protective brother?” she asked.
James looked up to Summer and we turned. She had her arms crossed and looked pale.
“Because you hang out with a group of boys,” James answered.
She shook her head and looked down, “I’ll get my bag and then we can go.”
“I’ll come with you,” I said and I followed her up the stairs.
As we walked into her room; I laughed.
“What?” she asked.
“Your room is finally clean…” I said.
“Yeah, took me five hours,” she admitted.
Yeah I was watching you… I thought.
“Oh really?” I said instead.
She nodded and found her one strap bag which was made of denim. She brushed her teeth and then we headed down the stairs.
