(Sorry if these songs don't go with the chapters, but music always helps me focus better on books, helps me write better and read easier.)
Screaming makes me jump from my tree and rush to the sound. Atom, one of Bellamy's followers, is holding a girl over the fire.
"Bellamy!" Atom muses. "Check it out. We want the Ark to think that the ground is killing us, right? Figure it'll look better if we suffer a little bit first."
I pull my knife out and slam the handle against Atom's head, knocking him out. Bellamy steps forward with his knife.
"Bring it, Blake." I sneer.
Bellamy swings but I catch his arm, I slam the man to the ground and plant my knee in his back with my blade to his throat. John Murphy's eyes are wide, and so are Bellamy's.
"Kane!" Clarke exclaims as she runs over. "Let him go."
"Whoa, hey!" Murphy steps in front of her as I reluctantly release Bellamy.
"Enough, Murphy." Clarke says as Octavia limps over.
"Octavia." Bellamy breathes out, pushing aside I just had a knife to his throat. "Are you all right?"
"Yeah." Octavia replies.
"Where's the food?" Bellamy asks.
"We didn't make it to Mount Weather." Clarke admits in defeat.
"What the hell happened?" I ask.
"We were attacked." Clarke says and I begin looking for my boyfriend.
"Attacked?" Bellamy inquires. "By what?"
"Not what, who." Finn claims. "It turns out, when the last man died on the from the ground died on the Ark, he wasn't the last Grounder."
"It's true." Clarke replies. "Everything we thought we knew about the ground is wrong. There are people here, survivors. The good news is, that means we can survive. Radiation won't kill us."
"Yeah, and the bad news is the Grounders will." Finn adds.
"Where's Jasper?" I ask worriedly. "Clarke, where's my boyfriend?"
"Skyla, Jasper was hit, they took him." Clarke replies and she looks at Wells' wrist. "Where's your wristbands?"
Gone? Jasper was hit!? I
"Mines off." I reply, worry coursing through me.
"Ask him." Wells sneers towards Bellamy.
"How many?" Clarke demands.
"Twenty-four and counting." Bellamy replies smugly.
"You idiots!" Clarke exclaims. "Life support on the Ark is failing. That's why they brought us down here. They need to kn ow the ground is survivable again, and we need their help against whoever is out there. If you take off your wristbands, you're not just killing them. You're killing us!"
"We're stronger than you think." Bellamy urges. "Don't listen to her. She's one of the privileged. If they come down, she' have it good. How many of you can say the same? We cam tale care of ourselves, we all saw that Kane here can." Bellamy mindlessly rubs the cut my blade left. "That wristband on your arm? It makes you a prisoner. We are not prisoners anymore! They say they'll forgive your crimes. I say you're not criminals! You're fighters, survivors! The Grounders should worry about us!"
A lot of the criminals agree with their leader. I just bite my lip as images of Jasper and my first kiss and first time having sex, in my room on the Ark, at fourteen.
"What do we do?" I ask Clarke.
She places her hands on my shoulders as Finn comes over. "Now we go after Jasper."
"I was hoping you'd say that." I smile.

I know it's really short, and I apologize. Really hope you stay tuned.
