Special Case of Kane

I stay in Bellamy's arms, It's Unity Day. He kisses me on the head as we listen to the Chancellor speak.

"My friends, this is a historic Unity Day." Jaha says. "Every year, we mark the moment our ancestors of the twelve stations joined together to form the Ark, but this is the last time we do so while aboard her. Next year, on the ground."

"Right." Miller comments. "After we did all the work. Someone shut him up."

"You shut up, Miller." I snap. "No one's forcing you to watch."

"For ninety-seven years, we have eked out an existence, hoping that someday our descendants would return to earth." Jaha continues.

Bellamy smiles down at me and he kisses my lips. Monty interrupts us to hand me a canteen.

"Made some more shine, enjoy you two." Monty says.

"Woo hoo! Monty strikes again!" I chant and I take a swig.

"Shh." Bellamy teases as he takes a small swing as well.

"To our sons and daughters on earth listening to this message, we will see you soon." Jaha continues speaking. "The first exodus ship will launch in under sixty hours, carrying you the reinforcements you need, so stat strong. Help is on the way."

"The guard." I mutter. "My dad."

Bellamy gives my arm a squeeze before I take another good swig of Monty's shine.

I watch Bellamy and Clarke talking, he looks more interested in talking to her than he ever does with me.

"You ok?" Raven asks as she and Finn find me.

"Tell Bellamy to meet me in my tent." I state and I walk away.

"Hey." Bellamy greets as he kisses my head. "What's up?"

"You like Clarke, don't you?" I ask softly as I meet his doe like brown eyes. "It's okay if you do; but if you do, I can't be with you."

"I'm not interested in Clarke, Skyla." Bellamy tries reassuring me.

"Who are you trying to convince, me or you?" I ask. "I'm sorry Bellamy."

"No, I'm sorry, Skyla." Bellamy says as he gives me one last, deep kiss. "I wish I could have been more." And he walks out.

"You're not going to get this one!" Clarke claims, we are playing a drinking game with some delinquents.

"Yes, I am." Fox replies.

"Not happening." Clarke replies.

Fox gets the ball in. "Woo! All right."

I high five Fox as the others gossip about Clarke.

Finn grabs Clarke's arm. "Let's take a walk."

"Kane, you in?" Fox asks.

"Oh, hell yes." I smirk as I get the ball in with each try.

I grab another cup unsteadily. I don't know how much of Monty's shine I've had; let's just put it as a lot, more than seven cups. Bellamy takes it.

I knee him in the nuts. I grab my cut of shine as he drops. "Clarke's waiting for you, go."

Bellamy looks at me with pained eyes before he leaves. Relieved, I drink and I stumble back into the party.

"Is that the Exodus ship?" Jasper asks me. "You're dad's early."

"Wait, that's too fast." I claim as I watch the Exodus ship. "No parachute... Somethings wrong."

The ship collides with the ground, and there's a massive explosion. Jasper is quick to catch me.

"Get her to her tent." Jasper says to Bellamy. "I....I can't."

Bellamy looks at me with sad eyes before picking me up, and he carries me away from the group.
