"Welcome, Sky Crew." Lexa says, and I keep my hand on my sword. "Join us."
"A package from Raven." Mr. Miller says. "Hydrazine. She said it would do the job."
"Good." Clarke says, and I roll my eyes at her.
"And, uh, your mother wanted to me here, too." Mr. Miller adds.
"I know, but the wounded in Tondc needed her more." Clarke says.
"Field commanders, today's the day we get our people back." Lexa speaks, getting a lot of people's attention. "The enemy thinks it's safe behind it's doors, but it's not. When it realizes that, it will fight back.... Hard. We need to be ready."
****
"This should do it." Monroe comments. "Bombs away."
"Be careful." I urge.
"Archers, watch the trees." Lexa says, and I join Lincoln, he welcomes me because of my sword.
"Hey, you can do this." He says.
"What if we're too late?" Mr. Miller asks,
"What if we're not?" Lincoln asks. "Draw strength from you son.... Skyla, keep that sword handy."
"You got it, Lincoln." I reply.
"This mountain has taken too much from both of us, hasn't it?" Mr. Miller inquires.
****
We hear gunfire.
"It's coming from the dam!" Lincoln claims.
"They know we're going for the power." Clarke says.
"They knowing we're going for the door." Lexa adds.
Lincoln is speaking in their language beside me.
"Raven will get it done." Monroe assures us all. "She's one of us."
"As soon as those lights go off, push that button." David says.
"We'll do the rest." Lincoln says. "Skyla, try staying near me."
"You got it, Lincoln."
*****
"They're jamming us, I have to get closer I say and I step into view, and bullets go right by me.
"Skyla!" Lincoln calls and he pulls me back to where he is.
"Forty-five seconds!" Mr. Miller calls. "If I can get there, I can trigger it manually."
"No, you can't get there." Clarke says.
"For Nate, I have to try." Mr. Miller says.
"Thirty seconds!" Clarke announces and there's more gunfire, grounders scream.
"We'll find another way in." Lexa says.
"There is no other way in." Clarke says. "You know that."
"We don't one."
:We need to get to that ridge and take out the shooter." Lexa says.
"No, you stay with Clarke." Lincoln says. "You, too, Skyla. When the shooting stops, you get that door open." And there is more gunfire."
****
"Lincoln." Clarke says.
"Lexa did it." Lincoln says.
"Clarke, Skyla; look." Monroe points out.
We hear groaning.
"Make sure he's alright." I demand.
"Sergeant Miller!!" Monroe runs over to him.
"They'll be waiting just inside the door." Clarke says.
"Good." Lincoln says, he is beside me.
"Train your fire on the door," Clarke says.
"Pull! Pull!" Lincoln commands. "Again! Pull!"
Everyone is cheering as the door opens a little.
"Attack!" Clarke commands.
"STAND DOWN!" Lexa orders.
"What is this?" Clarke asks.
"Look, they're coming out!" A man calls.
"They're surrendering?" Clarke asks.
"Not quite." A mountain man replies.
"What did you do?" Clarke asks the grounder leader.
"What you would have done." Lexa replies. "Saved my people."
"Where are my people?" Clarke demands.
"I'm sorry, Clarke." Lexa says and flinches slightly as I pull my sword out. "They weren't part of the deal."
"You made the right choice, commander." The man says.
"What is this?" Lincoln asks, he looks down at my sword.
"Your commander has made a deal." I reply coldly.
"What about the prisoners from the Ark?" Lincoln asks.
"They'll all be killed...." Clarke replies. "But you don't care, do you?"
"I do care Clarke, but I made thus choice with my head and not my heart." Lexa says. "The duty to protect my people comes first."
"Please don't do this." Clarke pleads.
"Clarke, it's pointless." I sigh,.
"Commander, not like this." Lincoln speaks up. "Let us fight."
"No, deal is done." Lexa says as we hear trumpeting. "You, too. All our people withdraw. Those are the terms."
"They'll be slaughtered." Lincoln says. "Let me help them."
"We will meet again." Lexa says.
Lincoln and I meet eyes, and a sigh escapes my lips. I knew trusting Lexa to follow through was too good to be true.
***
"Clarke, Blake; let's go." Mr. Miller yells in a distance. "We'll come back with reinforcements."
"Clarke, Skyla, come on." Monroe says. "It's over. I'm sorry."
"It can't be over." Clarke and I say at the same time, in sad tones, then my water seems to break..
"Clarke, I have to leave." I say as Monroe helps me up.
"What? Why?" Clarke asks. "Your husband's in there."
"And my baby is about to be born!" I rise my voice. "Hell of timing this baby has, but I am having my and Bellamy's baby."
"Oh.... Go!"
