Chapter 3 - An Afternoon Nap

Another day has passed and Lil' Red has come to play with me again. She is full of energy and is running around trying to catch the white red-eyed rabbit. I sat on the grass and leaned against my favorite oak tree in the forest. The sun is shinning brightly, thankfully the leaves of the tree limit the sunlight I'm getting. I watch Lil' Red run around, she is stilling chasing the rabbit in circles no matter how many times she falls down. She just doesn't know when to quit. A yawn escapes my mouth and my eyelids become heavy. My vision of seeing Lil' Red chase around a rabbit is getting darker and blurrier. 

I'm tired... a short nap wouldn't hurt. After all Lil' Red isn't in danger or anything.

I shut my eyes close. The sound of Lil' Red's giggling and footsteps get fainter and fainter, so quiet that I can't even hear her anymore.

A peaceful sleep...

"GAH!? WOLF HELP!" Lil' Red's voice shouts and my eyes fly open. I jumped up and I instantly went into an attack form. My eyes looked for Lil' Red and saw her on laying down on the grass. Her stomach faced the ground and her eyes had ears falling down. "It hurts!!"

I relaxed my body and sighed. I walked up to her and noticed that her hand was in a rabbit hole. "Let me guess," I said, "the rabbit went down the hole and you followed, thus your arm getting stuck."

"H-Help me!" she cried and sniffled. I sighed and put one hand on her arm and the other against the rabbit hole. In an instant I pulled out her arm and Lil' Red fell flinched. She looked at her dirt covered arm and clothes. "My c-clothes are dirty now. What s-should I do?"

"Clean it with water. Not my problem," I groaned and sat back down under my tree. I once against crossed my arms and leaned back against the hard brown oak, slowly my eyes started to close again. Sleep.

"What are you doing Lil' Red?" I asked with a voice filled with confusion and anger, "I can hear and sense you, y'know?"

"Observing," she answered and I opened my eyes. The first thing I saw was her big green eyes on her small white face, her eyelashes barely fluttered and her rose pink lips were just a few inches from mine.

I licked my lips and smirked, "Observing or seducing me? From this distance you can put a kiss on me and touch me."

"W-Wolf!" she shouted and moved her face away from me, "I was o-observing! Observing!" She lightly hit her fist against me repeatedly and I sighed. 

I just wanted to sleep, but I can't with her around... ! ... I just got an idea.

"Lil' Red," I mused, "want to take a nap with me? You must be quite tired from all that running around and chasing the rabbit. Well are you?"

"Mhm," she nodded her head and I patted the spot next to me. She sat down next to me and our shoulders were touching. A cute light yawn escaped from her mouth and she rested her head against my arm, closing her eyes. "..G..Night Wo..lf."

"Goodnight my Lil' Red," I whispered back and closed my eyes. Finally, I can have a nap.
