LC: That explains the bruises. His dad showed up again?

Taeyong nodded.

The three had ended up just sitting at the table, talking about the younger that had walked off earlier.

TY: How long have you known the kid?

Lucas thought for a while, probably trying to remember a specific time.

LC: Around three years.

TY: So you probably know his situation better than us.

Lucas's facial expression softened.

LC: I told him to just come and live with me, but-

□: Don't talk about someone behind their back.

The voice came from a guy with a dimple smile.

LC: Jaehyun. Where's Haechan?

JH: He's doing inventory.

He sat down on the last empty chair.

LC: This is my boss, Jaehyun. He owns the bar.

Taeyong and Mark greeted him with a small bow.

TY: I'm Taeyong, and this is Mark.

JH: Nice to meet you.

LC: They're Haechan's neighbors.

JH: So that's why Haechan's the main topic.

LC: Well, he's the only thing we have in common.

JH: If only you're as devoted to your job, as you are at making friends.

LC: Hyung. There's more to life than making money.

MK: Hyung?!?

LC: Yeah.

MK: Wait.. aren't the two of you the same age?

LC: No way. Jaehyun is two years older than me, I'm only 22.

MK: Are you for real!?

TY: I could have sworn you were older than Mark, but turns out you're both the same age.

Mark could've sworn that too.

LC: We're the same age!? A FRIEND!

Lucas smiled widely at Mark.

MK: What?

LC: We're friends.

MK: But.. we just met.

Taeyong only laughed at the tall one's eagerness.

TY: Slow down, what about the whole "stranger danger" thing you told Haechan about.

LC: . . . What can Mark do to me honestly. He could totally pin Haechan, but me.. I don't think so.

Mark looked offended. Yeah, he's a smaller built than Lucas, but he ain't weak.

TY: Why do you say that, Haechan looks.. pretty strong to me.

MK: Are you saying I can't pin him?

Taeyong turned to Mark.

TY: Do you want to pin him?

MK: NO. I'm just saying- I'm not weak.

Taeyong laughed at the way Mark tried not to look flustered.
