On Monday, I was awake, active for once during classes. As I sat in the class I had with him, Axel was talking with his friends as usual.

"How are you handling your breakup?" the two dark haired girls in front of me asked him.

"Surprisingly well," he responded. The boy from the day of the bathroom incident looked over. We'll call him, "Ry."

"Is it that new girl you've been sleeping with?" Ry inspected.

"You don't get it," Axel spoke, "she's more than a quick hump. She's perfect. So far she only wants sex. She was over this weekend. When I woke up, she was gone like she hadn't been there. It drives me wild. And it makes me want her that much more."

I was doing our assignment. The four of them assumed I wasn't listening. Another friend of theirs, Drew, threw Axel a fruit snack. I was captivated by him for the millionth time.

"I want to take her to prom," confessed Axel.

"You better work on that. Prom's in a month," Ry suggested.

"You should see her body, perfectly sculpted," Axel explained as he moved his hand to demonstrate my figure.

I hid my red face when Axel mimed the size of my breasts. He tucked his hair behind both his ears, a gesture I was familiar with. I began to pack up as Axel shot me a look and bit his lip. The bell rang; he pulled me into the bathroom again.

"We've got to stop meeting like this," I joked. Axel caressed my cheek.

"I want you," he repeated.

"I know. I-um-heard," I struggled to say, secretly embarrassed.

"Please, be my date to prom," Axel pressured.

"Fuck me tomorrow," I commanded.

He nodded. I initiated a hungry kiss. I left the bathroom. I flip flopped often. Sometimes I would be timid, shy, and bashful. Others I would be falsely confident. I would kiss Axel first. I would demand things from him.

It wasn't my nature at all to do that normally. I could tell it drove him mad. Axel was trying to figure me out. As soon as I could tell, I changed on him. He would beg for me every time.

My energy depleted during my sixth hour, leaving me in a fog until the next day.

I caught Axel looking at the clock every now and then. I didn't know if he was sneaking looks at me or not. My shirt was lower cut than I was used to. I didn't think Axel noticed. I realized he was staring at me.

The bell rang, but Axel was in a daze. For once, he wasn't the first one out of the room. I moved too quickly for him to pull me into the bathroom. He managed to find me after school.

"Katherine," Axel called. I turned to face him. He opened his mouth to say something.

"Ax man! There you are!" Drew interrupted. The blonde looked me up and down. "What are you doing here?" he inspected. Clearly, he was disgusted.

"Minding my own damn business. Are you trying to find a stupid cheerleader to bang? Because I think you've been through all of them. Twice," I spat. Axel shoved me.

"You're such a twat!" he rebuked.

"Are you sure you even know what 'twat' means? I didn't think you were that articulate," I fought, condescendingly.

Axel's fist connected with the wall at my side. Annoyed, I took a swing at him. Axel dodged my arm, but I made contact with something else: Drew's nose.

"Ow! You little bitch!" he cried.

He held my shoulder, coming in for a hit of his own. Axel jumped in front of him, but it was too late. I braced for impact as Drew gave me a black eye. Not being one to walk away from a fight, I kicked him in the balls. Drew fell over. Axel bent to help him. I left, walking backwards, giving the two of them the finger.

I was supposed to be at Axel's that night. I stood him up. Instead, I went to nurse my black eye. I was used to Drew being a bastard. Amazingly, I expected more from Axel. I dozed off at eight.
