"Hey...you don't have to leave. You can stay here for the night if you want," Axel offered. I took my spot next to him again.

"Only a little longer. I need to get home or my mother will kill me," I informed. He ran his fingers down my side.

"I'd like it if you slept with me," he said.

"I just did," I replied, trying to hide my confusion.

"No, I mean, like, actual sleep," he corrected himself.

"Alright, but I'm gonna sneak out once you're asleep," I compromised. His grip around me was gentle but firm. I contemplated staying the whole night.

At about 2:30 that morning, I slipped out of the house silently. I climbed through my window trying not to wake my mother. I decided on a shower.

The water was hotter than I expected, making my skin sting. I thought about the events from only an hour before. They didn't seem real. I ceased to think as I watched my blood swirl down the drain.

"I lost it to him?" I asked myself. I couldn't believe it.

I laid in bed around 3:30 and tried to sleep. Thankfully, my wild adventure allowed me to go into a deep slumber. School was only four hours away.

When I woke up, I was exhausted. I dressed comfortably in sweats, and tied my hair back. I slept through my morning classes.
