Keira POV

It's been about a year since I got Kozik's crow. Things were going amazingly. We bought a house together to get away from the clubhouse. Now don't get me wrong. I love the guys and the club. But seriously? There was no way in hell that I was going to keep staying there. We needed our own place.

It's a beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath, ranch style home.

We had to have spent at least 2 weeks looking for the right house. The one we bought was the last one we saw and I swear if love at first sight exist with houses, then that's what happened. We couldn't sign the papers fast enough. And it was only 4 blocks from the clubhouse. Win, win as Herm put it.

Luckily with the spacious dinning area we were able to hold some dinners as well. Which my mom was more than happy with.

Donna had gotten gunned down. Shot in the head from behind while driving the truck. No one knew who would want to do a thing like that. I always loved Donna. We didn't get along all that well but she was still a really good friend. And an amazing mother. I had offered to help Opie with the kids whenever he needed. They seemed to like that idea. Mostly cause we'd go to the mall, play games at home, eat tons of junk food, stay up late when they slept over at our place. I tried to keep their minds off of what happened. It was hard. Opie stepped away for awhile, clearing his mind. He came back eventually and has since thrown himself into the club.

All in all, though, things were going good. But like they say, not all good things last.

Kozik POV

I still can't believe that its been a year since Keira agreed to get my crow. Even with the shit she's been through and the shit the crow eaters gave her, she still said yes.

She basically told me that we were going to get a house. I agreed, obviously. She was right. We needed our own space. And of course the first night we christened every inch of the house. We were both sore in the morning.

With the new house came new conversations. Although Keira seemed to be avoiding them. I couldn't say anything though. I was avoiding things too. I was trying to figure out how to ask her to marry me. That means I was being a little distant. I knew I couldn't hide this from her for long. And I wanted to do it soon.
