Chapter 7

Kozik POV

I woke up around 6 a.m. to a pounding at the door. I got up and opened the door to see Chibs standing there. "Get your clothes on brother. We found your girl." That was probably the fastest I have ever gotten dressed in my life. I walked-ran outside to the rest of the guys as we all got on our bikes. I was following behind Tig when I saw where we were going.

Keira POV

I had figured out that the light I saw earlier was just a lamp. I had no idea what time it was. Not that I could even register it in my brain. I was awake long enough to hear some gunshots and shouting. I wasn't sure what was happening. I felt someone grab me but I passed out before I found out who.

****3 hours later****

Kozik POV

We found Keira chained up to a pipe in a warehouse about 6 blocks from that house in Lodi. I felt pissed off at myself. She was so close and I couldn't realize. She has been asleep since we found her. Tara looked at her when we got her to the hospital. She had cuts and bruises all over her chest and stomach. Cuts in her wrist where the cuffs were at. She had a swollen jaw, black eye, and four broken ribs. I was supposed to protect her. I was supposed to keep her safe. I failed her. I failed her and this is what happened.

I was mentally kicking myself when I felt her hand squeeze mine. I looked up to see her eyes open slowly. "Kozy? Baby please tell me you're real." Her eyes opened the rest of the way. I squeezed her hand a little and kissed her knuckles. "Yeah baby. I'm real. I'm here." At my words she started crying, and so did I. She sat up and wrapped her arms around my neck holding me tightly. I hugged back but had to lightly push her back. "Baby, you have 4 broken ribs. Cuts and bruises on your chest and stomach. Swollen jaw and a black eye. You've got to take it easy." She nodded as she laid back. Just then Tara walked through the door.

Keira POV

I kept my hand in Kozik's as Tara walked through the door. "Good you're up." Tara had a small smile on her lips as she checked my vitals. "Kozik told me what all is wrong with me. But I have to ask. Did he... Did he rape me? I passed out a lot." I felt Kozik's grasp tighten as I asked. He hadn't said anything so I needed to be sure. "No. No he didn't." A wave of relief washed over me at her answer. I silently thanked God for that. Tara said that I could go home tomorrow evening. They wanted to keep me overnight to make sure there was no internal bleeding. I agreed, reluctantly. After Tara left I moved over a little so Kozik could get in the bed with me. He was hesitant at first but caved after a couple minutes. I snuggled into him as best I could and fell back asleep. I could feel his arms around me and it made me happy.

****3 weeks later*****

Keira POV

It's been 3 weeks since David kidnapped me. Kozy told me that when they found me he shot him. I was glad that he killed him. I could finally relax. I had nightmares for the first week or so. Until Kozik started sleeping with me again. He had stopped for a few days, saying he didn't want to push me into anything.

I was currently sitting in the office with my mom. Doing some paperwork. Kozik, Tig, and Chibs were out in the garage. I got up and closed both doors and locked them. My mom had a curious look on her face. "What's going on baby?" I went and sat on the couch and she followed me. "I wanted to talk to you. It's about Kozik." She nodded telling me to continue. "Well... Before I was kidnapped Kozik told me how he felt about me. And I told him that I felt the same way about him. But now... Now I don't know how he feels. I know I still feel the same about him. I want to be with him but I don't know if that's what he wants anymore." I stopped, having to take a breath from saying everything at once. She put an arm around me and pulled me close. "Baby have you talked to him about this?  That's the only way you will know for sure." I silently shook my head no. She just nodded and said that I would have to. I said okay and made my way back into the clubhouse going to my room.
