After I recovered from the shock of Rydel's message, I quickly responded saying:
What are you talking about? We just met and are just friends!Of course I wanted to be more than friends, but I wasn't sure if I wanted Rydel to know I was dreaming about her brother every night just yet. Just then my phone buzzed and it was a response from Rydel:
Oooohhhh girl we are talking about this in the morning!!! Meet me at my house at 11!!! Night! <3I responded that I would see her then and went to bed. I just couldn't fall asleep, my mind was replaying every single moment I've spent with Ross since we met. Could he really like me?! Like people have told me that guys like me before and then I take a chance and turns out I'm friend zoned. I don't want that to happen to Ross. I want him to like me, but I am not about to take a huge risk by control and making the first move. I just want everything to happen naturally.
I must have drifted off to sleep during my thoughts because when I woke up, it was 10:30 and I had half an hour to eat breakfast and get ready to talk to Rydel. I quickly changed into a pair of white jean shorts and a blue tank top. I put my hair into a messy bun and told my family I'd be with Rydel.
When I walked out my front door, I saw Rocky and Riker walk towards my house. Turns out Joey and Kenny had made plans to hang out with them too. I was so glad our families got alone so well, my family isn't usually one to have really close friends that we spend a lot of time with. It was really nice to have the Lynch's.
I found Rydel standing in front of her front door as she invited me in. We went up to her room that was covered in pink and sparkles items everywhere. She pointed to her bed for me to sit down and then she closed her door.
"Okay sister, spill!" She basically pounced on me, eager for answers.
"Woah! What are you even talking about?!?"
"You and Ross!!" She whisper screamed, "what is going on between you two?!"
"Nothing!!!" I assured her.
"Have you seen the way he looks at you?! He is totally infatuated with you! And he didn't take his eyes off of you all yesterday in the pool. I know my brother, he's into you."
I wanted to believe her so badly and just scream my feelings for Ross so she could set us up and we could fall in love, get married, and have beautiful blonde babies right then and there, but I promised myself I would stay calm and let this all happen naturally.
"Ross and I JUST met, if he does like me, I want everything to let nature take it's course, we'll see what happens then." I answered truthfully.
Rydel agreed to let up, but I knew she wasn't going to completely give it a rest. We hung out for another 3 hours, getting to know each other and painting nails, the usual girl stuff. Turns out we had a lot in common! We decided we would get go get lunch at my house and then go swimming with the whole family.
As we walked over to my house I saw that Ryland and Ross had joined the other guys and they were crowded around the tv playing video games. I stopped to greet them and watch for a few minutes.
Kenny laughed as their game of Call of Duty ended and said "I still can't beat your high score Genna!"
I laughed at this remark and as I started to walk away, I heard Ross say "You play video games?!"
I turned around and found all 4 of the Lynch's shocked with their jaws almost too the floor.
I giggled at the sight and answered "Yeah of course, my brothers raised me well."
I gave my brothers a quick wink and went to the kitchen to find my parents talking with Mark and Stormie. They helped us fix lunch and we hung out at the house. At about 6 o'clock the Lynch's left to go home, assuring us they would see us later. We said our goodbyes and I looked over at Ross. His eyes met mine and he gave me a small smile.
Back at home my family ate dinner together and discussed how we enjoyed having the Lunch's around. Everyone was getting along great and having a blast.
At around 8 o'clock I heard a knock on the door, and I went to answer it. I opened the door and came face to face with those mesmerizing brown eyes that belonged to the tall blonde that was beginning to steal my heart.
"Hey, are you busy?" He asked me.
I responded no and he smiled one of his perfect, sweet smiles and replied, "Great, I want to show you something."
I told my parents I would be back (I'm still surprised they let me leave the house whenever I apparently want to) and followed Ross to his back gate. He opened it and led me to the back corner, where the old treehouse was. I turned and looked at him and he gave me a wink, which left my head spinning.
"Ladies first." He said as he pointed to the wood ladder on the side of the tree. What exactly did Ross Lynch want to show me?
