Tahani Anderson's POV

I was driving with my mom to one of her friends' house, they were old college buddies and recently reconnected

the power of the internet I remember her cheering

"Why do I have to come? I was perfectly fine at home"

"Because Ruth has a kid around your age and you need friends," my mom said

"I have KayHanAti" I said

"And..."

"That's all I need"

"Just be nice, they're good people," my mom said as we pulled up into a driveway

We made our way up to the front door, and my mom ringed the doorbell, as I was texting KayHanAti

"Hi!" the woman said hugging my mom "And who is this beautiful young lady?"

"This is my daughter Tahani I told you about, say hi Tahani" my mom said

"Hi!"

"She's so sweet," the woman said "I'm Ruth Price, Tahani"

"Nice to meet you, Mrs. Price"

"Oh Ruth is just fine, come in come in," Ruth said

She took us on a quick tour of the house, meanwhile I could have sworn I kept hearing music but then again I'm a dancer I always hear music

My mom and Ruth were getting caught up in the good old days so I just went to Twitter as they talked

"Oh, Ruth you have a kid right? Around Tahani's age," my mom brought up

"Yeah downstairs I think they would be a year apart," Ruth said pointing towards the stairs that went into the basement

"I guess I'll go meet them"

I walked downstairs and it's clear this is where the music was coming from, it was a modest basement, what made it unique was that one wall was almost all mirrors, ideal for a dancer

I get close to the bottom step to see a boy dancing...

And he was good... like really good

I could tell he was freestyling but it was still something to watch

I don't know how long I was standing there just watching I should be more amazed he hasn't seen me yet, then again it looks like he's focusing extremely hard

"Tahani!" I hear my mom shout breaking me from the trance

"Oh there she is," Ruth said pointing to me on the stairs

"Tahani it's time to go, your brother said he burnt down the kitchen and I don't think he was joking," my mom said

"Ok," I said heading up the steps

"Did you ever say hi to my son?" Ruth asked me as I shook my head no "You've been down there for 30 minutes"

wow

"I guess I just got shy"

"Interesting, your mother says you're so outspoken I'm surprised," Ruth said as it is unlike me "Well maybe another time"

"What's his name?"

"Joshua Price or just call him Josh"

Tati Mcquay's POV

"Mom why?!"

"Don't get an attitude young lady, you're the one who says she wants to be a better dancer!" my mom said

"But not today, I was hoping to go on a date!" I said as Lofton been trying for months to take me out and just when I was about to give in my mom said no

"Too bad, you've been slacking in your dancing so I'm taking you to class," she said

"Why can't I just wait for Matt and my other regular teachers get back"

"Because you need to branch out more," she said as she sighed meaning she calmed down and so should I "Do you even want to still be a dancer?"

"Of course I do!"

"Then why don't you take as many classes like Kaycee"

"Don't compare me to Kaycee"

"I just want you to improve, and to improve that means to step out of your comfort zone every so often," she said as I wanted to retort but I saw this going nowhere

We arrived at Playground LA a dance studio I never really been to but heard of, it's a little weird having a clear opening to the public as they have a clear window wall that was open to the sidewalk but I'll probably get used to it

I got here late so I could only take one class, it was from somebody around my age which makes me doubt how good it can be but I took the class because I had too

"Hey, guys! I'm Julian Deguzman thanks for taking my class" the choreographer said

It wasn't sold out so I could literally count how many people were here, and it seems a good portion seemed to be his friends meaning he's still new to teaching at least at this studio

"Let's get started!" He said

An hour went by and I was tired

His choreo is so unique yet has a nice vibe to it, but that also means I have to be more strict with the moves

"Alright I'm going to do the full combo so you all can see then we can do groups," Julian said as he pointed to one of his friends to press the play button for his music

He was incredible...

Obviously, it's his choreo, of course, he should look good doing it but he makes it look as if it was easy

The rest of the 30 minutes went by rather quickly the class ended with the studio owner coming to record Julian doing the choreo to probably help promote the studio

"Thanks, everyone! I'll be back next Wednesday same time!" Julian said ending class

I gathered my stuff, water bottle, bag, etc... And was ready to thank him for class but I got a call from my mom saying she's outside and I know she doesn't want to wait

"So how was the class?" My mom asked

"It was good"

"Who taught?" She asked me

"Julian Deguzman"

Kaycee Rice's POV

I was going to IMMASpace for class, I missed the earlier ones so I could only take the last one for the day which is fine as it's Willdabeast's he's like my dance dad

I was early so I was able to see the previous class filing for groups so I sneaked in to have a better view of the choreo

The choreographer called up a boy for a solo and he seems nonchalant about it

As if him being called was anticipated as most dancers have some form of emotion whether happy or nervous

The music started and I could tell he entered a zone

His musicality was like none I ever have seen, easily as good if not better than my teachers, and the way his body moves, smooth and fluid, and based off others reaction he even changed the choreo up in small instances

If I can call him anything it would be a genius

"What's his name?" I said out loud and the person near me heard me and seemed amused by me

"That is The Sean Lew"

"Sean Lew..."
