Adelyn was speechless, her brother wouldn't joke about something that means this much to her to her but who knows.
Was is it some sick joke that he decided to pull on her that they would soon laugh about but by the look on his face she couldn't help but push herself out of Blake's arms and sprint towards the door grabbing her coat and barging past her brother.
She wasn't ready for this, she had barely gotten over their death but as soon as things were getting better, Kyle ruined it. When couldn't she just be happy hadn't she gone through enough.
As soon as she reached downstairs, she heard low voices coming from the kitchen. She dropped her coat forgetting all reasons to run out the door as tears brimmed her eyes.
She crept towards the door, Blake and Kyle were arguing upstairs still until they both decided to go after Adelyn to see her standing in front of the kitchen door, a shocked expression on her face.
"Mum? Dad?" She whispered, the two figures standing in front of her turned around, facing their little girl.
She had cleaned up nicely, her hair not all over the place instead it was straight and brown, her makeup wasn't smudged since she didn't wear it, that's when Blake and Kyle come into view behind her, as Adelyn ran towards her parents and engulfed them in hugs.
"How?" were the only words that left her mouth
"They said we were bad influences that we had to separate ourselves from you, we never knew that they didn't tell you, we were at-"
"I don't care where you were, please tell me that you're staying" Adelyn cried into her parent's ears, both of them nodding.
They sat there for a couple of minutes before going to the living room the two adults in the room not really paying attention to Blake but the two kids in front of them.
But soon the boys went away leaving the girls alone on the couch talking to one another as they once did.
"So who is the brunette" She speaks to Adelyn who smiles at the boy who laughs along with her father.
"That's Blake, He's really made me happy mum," Adelyn said as tears brimmed her eyes, as Adelaide watched her daughter look at the love of her life.
"He's cute, what does he do?"
"He's a football player, and he's in the same grade as Kyle so he's leaving for college in 2 months while ill be here without him" She sighed as she picked at her nails, Adelaide grabbed Adelyn's handed and held them with her.
"I bet he's not happy about it either" Adelyn nodded as she wiped her eyes, she was wondering what Blake was thinking about this, ever since he came into her life, he had been pulled into this even though she knew he didn't mind she couldn't help but think he did.
Adelyn nods before speaking "You're right" Soon Blake enters the room, Adelyn diverting her eyes from her mother towards her boyfriend.
"Uh hi, we haven't formally introduced, I'm Blake Richardson" Adelaide gave her daughter a look before standing up to meet the boy that her daughter basically explained perfectly.
"Nice to meet you blake, I've been here for only a few hours now and I've already heard lots about you" Adelyn grumbled under her breath as her neck turned red from embarrassment.
Blake chuckled at the women that look exactly like Adelyn "Good things I hope" Adelaide laughed at the boy in front of her.
"Of course, only things I hear leave her mouth recently" Her voice quiets down "Thank you for making my daughter herself again" Adelaide pats the boy on the back before venturing off towards her husband and son.
Blake was stuck in confusion as he sat next to the girl.
"What were you like before we met" this question caught Adelyn off guard, no one had really brought it up because of the way it affected her but she didn't seem to mind Blake's curious questions.
"I was a teen that thought she was in love with a boy that brought her into drugs and alcohol influenced her to sneak out and do bad things" Adelyn shook her head, as she let out a sigh picking at her nails every so often.
Until his hands stopped her and their eyes connected, its almost like that was the sign she was looking out for, the sign that shown her that Blake was the one that she loved it's almost like when her eyes met his brown ones a spark when off and gave her goosebumps.
her eyebrows furrowed as she looked at him "I'm in love with you" The five words that left her mouth took him off guard, making his eyes widened as he sat there astonished, the girl that he adored from the day one was in love with him, to say how surprised wasn't possible, a couple months ago Blake would never find himself actually being in a relationship with a girl but then she came along and as much as he changed her, she changed him as well.
"I used to go to parties and find a girl I could and do what I wanted with them because they were easy, I drank so much to forget about my dad that didn't understand me. I did so many things to make myself so much like others that I forgot who I was.
He took a breath before continuing pushing a piece of hair behind her ear "But Adelyn Rose, I accidentally leaned on your locker one day and you appeared I thought you were some girl trying to get with me but little did I know that you would hit me across the face leaving a mark there for a couple of days just because I placed my hand on your waist.
"After that day I leaned on your locker just so I could see your every single day and every day I would fall for you more so Adelyn if its one of us that is in love with the other, it's me because I'm crazy about you Adelyn Rose."
She smashed her lips into his, fireworks and butterflies went off in her stomach. She had never felt this way about someone, she didn't just love Blake Richardson. She was in love with him.
