Chapter 11: I'm too tired to sleep

ChiggerXninja: Is it alright to fall asleep?

Noctis closes the door behind her entering Feast For All, she places down the creates of fresh ingredients feeling dizzy she sits down at her bar and places her head on the counter, the door flies open she groans turning to see Velvet.

"Miss Eclipse!" Velvet rushes to her side.

"I'm fine... just tired" Noctis stands up wobbling "We need to open shop come on" as the bartender takes a step her legs shake and lose strength which causes her to fall, the bunny faunus acts quickly catching her employer.

"How many..."

"Hmm?"

"How many days haven't you slept?!"

Velvet stares at her dull golden eyes and her dark heavy eye bags "about 5-6 days" Noctis avoids eye contact trying not to pass out, Velvet was about to scold her until a ringing sound cuts her off.

She answers her scroll "Hello"

"Velvet are you in town?"

"Yes, what is it?"

"There has been a breach! Grimm are in town! We need all the help we can get!" Her teammate gives her the details and location.

"Okay, I'll be right there." Velvet hangs up then looks at Noctis arming herself "No you need to rest!"

"Velvet... I know but I just can't rest knowing there are people in danger. Plus I'm too tired to sleep."

Velvet sighs at her stubbornness but nods, the two rush out of the restaurant Noctis carries Velvet over her shoulder and speeds to the location seeing the smoke she runs faster. When they arrive Grimm filled the streets they both see Sun and Neptune.

"Nobody move Junior Detectives!"

"We have badges do you know its official"

Noctis gave the two a deadpan look "They are fighting grimm and you want them not to move" Sun was about to say something to her but stopped realising he said something dumb.

A Large Bullhead hovers over the battle as well as multiple battle ones Sun drops his badge watching them in awe, Noctis spots Ruby not noticing a grimm sneaking up behind her. She takes action pushing Ruby out of the way and without thinking she uses her semblance fire blazing out from mouth realising the rest of the energy she had.

"J-Jaws?!"

Noctis tiredly looks over at Ruby before tumbling down, Ruby uses her semblance to quickly guide Noctis to the ground. "Yang! Get over here!"

"What happened!?"

"I don't know she just fell after using her semblance!"

Yang checks her mentor's pulse she sighs in relief "She's still alive"

Yang walks into her bedroom seeing the bartender holding a picture she turns hearing footsteps her shoulders drop seeing Yang's red eyes.

"Are you going to keep standing there or talk?"

Yang pulls her shirt glaring into her eyes "Why do you keep doing this to yourself?! You're going to die if you keep this up!"

"I want to sleep but..."

"But what!"

"Yang have you ever felt too tired to sleep? Even though you know every second inches towards death's door? I feel like if... I sleep everything will change and that... terrifies me"

Yang let's go of the bartender as her eyes turn back. "Please stop doing this to yourself! Everyone is worried about you! I hate this about you!"

Noctis turns seeing the girl's face, tears streaming down her figure shakes violently, Noctis places the photo down and holds the girl tightly "I'm sorry..."
