The young priest had returned once again.

He visited in the late afternoon as I was reading up on my latest book – Norse Mythology. Most of the stories had my eyebrows raised in surprise but so far, I was loving every one of the stories. The doors hissed open and the first thing I see was his beautiful lilac aura and so I raise my head up to look at him.

There was a surprise visitor hanging by his shoulder and he was giggling when he saw me.

I got up swiftly which alarmed the armed guards and they aimed their guns at me – through the glass mind you – as I set the book down and headed towards the offending thing. How dare he show his ugly mug at me? I beckoned the priest closer – intentionally bringing the spirit closer as well and I placed my palm against the glass.

"How are you?" I asked.

What a surprise!

He looked absolutely terrified. "I-I'm fine."

"Begone devil," I said.

You coward! He will know of this!

Narrowing my eyes at the offending spirit, I forced him into a ball and crushed it. The atmosphere turned back to normal once the spirit was gone. The humans weren't aware of what was happening either. I stared at the priest who had gone white as sheet at my threat and I moved towards the slot on the right – taking off a necklace before placing it inside.

The lid shut and opened on the other side.

"Take it," I said. "Wear it."

The young priest looked confused and hesitant but complied when he noticed how hard I was staring at him. He must have put two and two together because his hand shook as he wore the necklace I had gifted him. The necklace held a single crystal on it and it glowed a salmon pink as it rested on his chest.

I sat down. "The old woman whom you've been working with," I started.

He turned aghast. "H-how did you – Never mind. What about the old woman?" he asked immediately. "Is something going to happen to her?"

"There is a being that is after her," I said. "A very powerful demon who thirst for her blood. She has been fighting against it since young and she is very tired. She will hand the curse over to a young child named Quinn. You shall stop her."

"Why would she do that?" the priest asked in alarm.

"Ask questions later," I said. "Go and save the child. You have three days."

He nodded firmly and left.
