I opened my eyes and felt disoriented for a few minutes. I had woken up from a few nightmares last night but Raphael had always been there to soothe the demons away. I sat up and wore spectacles that were on the nightstand and put them on. The bathroom door opened and Raphael stepped out of the bathroom, his towel riding dangerously low. I couldn't bring myself from staring as he walked around the room, his back to me. He turned and my eyes widened, I had seen him shirtless before but up close like this just made him seem glorious. It was almost as if Aphrodite and Zeus had a child. There was a slight bulge at the front of his towel and my eyes refused to leave there and my brain traveled to forbidden places.

"Now, now Amanda, if you keep looking, I'm going to be forced to things that will  make it difficult for you to walk and we both don't want that, do we?" That caught me by surprise and my surprised face made him smile.

"We need to get to work," I said looking away, my voice hoarse.

"Martin gave us today and tomorrow off because of what you saw."

I closed my eyes at the tightening in my throat when I remembered what I witnessed yesterday, I wanted to push the thought far away, not just the thought, the whole memory and not just that one memory, all our memories. Every single damn thing about Scott.

"OK, I'll let you dress." I got out of the room and leaned on the door once out.

Aside from Scott, did Raphael just hint on wanting me? My brain was turning and turning when I saw it. More of them. His living room was full of bookshelves, I went in and instantly knew that if given a chance I could have lived on his floor. All the shelves were marked according to the kind of book they contained, I instantly went to the fiction shelf. I had seen almost all the books online. I looked up at the highest shelf, I saw a book that I had planned to start reading. It was too high and I stood on my tippy toes and still nothing.

Then I felt him behind me as he reached for the book easily and got it, I took a step back on purpose in order to confirm my uncertainty. His body went rigid and I felt him hardening behind me, I hadn't realized how thin the shirt was till then and I realized that he still had no shirt on. He turned me around and pressed me against the bookshelf.

he spoke with his lips mere inches from mine, "Don't do that Amanda."

"Why?" I asked bringing my own lips closer to his.

"Because, Amanda," he took my hand and pressed it at the front of his sweatpants, where he was hard and ready and don't even get me started on the size. "I want you and it's not a secret I'm trying to hide but if I start, Lord knows I will not stop and I want you to be sure because we just started working together and I'm fucked up Amy, I come with a lot of garbage. If we do this I want you to know exactly who I am."

He let go of my hand and it dropped. We stood there, staring into each other's eyes, mismatched to sapphire, my heart pounded in my chest and my lips ached for his. I had to change the topic.

"Why aren't you wearing a shirt?"

He moved away smiling, the smile said that he knew what I just did.

"Because you're in my favorite shirt." He said handing me the book, "Good choice, it's my favorite, after Harry Potter that is."

"Oh my God, I love Harry Potter too."

We smiled at each other like fools then the door opened and a girl who looked just like Raphael walked in. She was dressed in all black and she was the most beautiful teenager I had ever seen. She turned those eyes towards me and they weren't as blue as Raphael's, no they were an extraordinary shade of grey but there was something in those grey balls towards me.
