Amy and Raph sat there looking at each other, there was disbelief etched on both their faces but on Raph's case there was rage too and Amy could feel it radiating from his body in waves. he needed to calm down and Amy sat on her desk, right in front of him.
"Look at me Raph." she pleaded and he didn't look up, just kept on staring at his laps, "Come on, we'll be working on this together."
"Okay, okay." he gave in, "Growing up, my brother was the apple of my mother's eye maybe it was because he looked more like our father than I did. My mum, like yours, did not like me at all, she always picked on me, made my mistakes seem like the worst crime ever. When I was starting with the FBI, my mum hadn't liked it at all, she tried everything in her power to get me to quite but I was an adult, there was no way I was going to let her influence me that way. I was given my first case and it was a drug case, I followed all the steps and they eventually led to my brother, I tried to prove him innocent but all arrows pointed to him. He was my first arrest and my mother lost it, she had finally had enough of me, that's why she didn't even want to see me during her birthday. A few months ago my brother was released, I don't even know how but I never bothered checking or contacting him because well, I arrested him and I was his younger brother, I doubted that he wanted to see me or breathe the same air as me." he finished and before I could say anything my phone rang, I picked it up with out tearing my gaze from Raph.
"Hastings." My voice was sharper than I wanted it to be.
"There's been a situation here." it was Martin.
"What kind of situation?"
"You need to come down here and see."
"Stop messing around and tell me what the fuck happened." I said getting a bit annoyed.
"Well, Mrs Anderson, we went to check on her and she was dead." Martin said and my heart rate increased, was it fear? Anger? I have no idea.
"What do you mean dead? There's no way she could be dead. She was locked up in a very secure cell."
"Well, the officers in charge are dead too, you and Stark need to come down here, now," he said.
"Fine, we'll be there just give us a few minutes," I said and turned to Raph who was already getting his jacket.
"What's going on?" he asked me as we grabbed our guns and badges.
"Well, Mrs Anderson was found dead and so were the officers in charge."
He didn't inquire about anything else, just walked out the door and in the car, he turned on the siren and we were in the downtown station in no time. I walked so fast to the holding cells I was nearly running. I was welcomed with a lot of commotion Raph cleared his throat and they let us pass. The officer in charge lay face flat on his desk, his eyes and mouth open. I kept on walking to the holding cells where I found Martin crouching and looking at Mrs. Anderson's dead body.
She lay on her stomach and her head was in an impossible angle revealing a slit throat, her eyes were still open and her mouth seemed to be in a never-ending scream. Martin turned her around my stomach churned and turned at the sight, i almost puked. her guts hang out of where her stoamch must have been and the whole front part of her bluse was missing and guess what else was missing, her nipples.
"Fuck." Raph swore.
"Was there anyone else in this cell?" i asked martin.
"Yes." he said.
"Where are they?" i asked him.
"They were not here when we came." he answered me.
great cause what we needed was more Banshee minions or worse even more bodies to be found all over the city.
