Chapter 4: Getting our memories back

Young Ira's POV
                                            I'm playing with my brother, daddy's at work and mommy is making supper, so we were playing outside in the green, grassy fields. We were playing hide and seek, it was Adrien's turn to hide. I was counting near the water fountain up to 10.
Me:"7..8..9...10! Ready or not, here I come!!"
I said, uncovering my eyes and starting to look around for Adrien,
Me:"Adrien?...Adrien?..Where are you?"
I started saying after awhile of looking for him. I was starting to get scared. I ended up a little ways away from the green field, trying to find Adrien,
Me:"ok, Adrien, you win! Come out now!"
I almost screamed, but it was no use, nobody heard me...or so I thought...just as I was about to go back to the field, I heard two voices behind me, they sounded older then me, but that isn't to surprising, since I'm only 6.
??? #1:"hey, kid. What're you doin' all alone?"
??? #2:"yeah, little kids like you shouldn't be out here all alone."
I turned around to see two older kids from my and Adrien's school, they were the meanest in the school and have hurt a lot of our friends. Me and Adrien usually try to stay away from them, but they were blocking my only exit, and I was alone. Me and Adrien are usually together, so I was pretty scared.
Bully #2:"well well well, if it isn't one of the Agreste boys. Where's your brother, Ira?"
One of the boys said, teasingly, I shuttered,
Me:"u-um...I...I don't know..."
Bully #2:"I heard them playing hide and seek, then I saw Adrien ditch him."
Bully #1:"is that so? Well, it looks like your brother ditched you, Agreste...what're you gonna do now?"
Me:"n-no...Adrien wouldn't..do that...he would never do something so cruel!!"
Bully #2:"you don't know that, you haven't been able to find him yet...just face it, your brother hates you! So does your dad! That's why he treats you the way he does!"
Me:"n-no!! They love me!! They tell me that everyday!! I'm not listening to you!!!"
I started to cry, they only smiled at my misery,
Bully #2:"aw, is the widdle baby gonna cwy? Does he need his mawmmy?"
Bully #1:"crybaby!"
Bully #2:"you're such a loser! haha!"
I was bawling my eyes out by now, trying to wipe my tears off, then, I heard a voice that I knew all too well,
???:"leave him alone!"

Young Adrien's POV
"Leave him alone!" I shouted at the two bullies that were making fun of Ira. Ira looked at me, he was crying.
Nobody makes my brother cry!! Not on my watch!!! I glared at the two bullies, me and Ira were the same age and the bullies were older. I wouldn't be able to do much, but I had to stand up for Ira. I figured out that the only way that the bullies were going to leave us alone, is if we threaten them. I had a flat, sharp rock in my hand. I knew what to do.
Me:"...I have a weapon...it's a knife...don't make me use it!"
I said, showing them the rock, they fell for it and ran away. But Ira had figured out that it was just a rock and came over, he still had tears on his face but he smiled. He wasn't able to hold it in for long, he started bawling again. We hugged each other and then we went home before the bullies realized that it was a rock and came back. Ira was still crying by the time we got home, I couldn't blame him though, those bullies were scary. The second mom opened the front door for us to come in, Ira ran over to her, crying.
Mom:"goodness! Ira, why are you crying? What happened, sweetie?"
Me:"we were playing hide and seek when these two bullies from our school came and picked on Ira, I was able to trick them into going away, but it was still scary."
Mommy:"bullies? What did they say?"
Ira:"*sniff* they..they said that Adrien ditched me and..and him and daddy don't care about me and called me a loser!"
Me:"yeah, and it was really mean! Nobody is allowed to make Ira cry!"
Just then, daddy came into the room, he immediately saw that me and Ira were upset. Daddy:"what happened?"
Mommy:"Ira and Adrien ran into some bullies from their school."
Daddy:"bullies, huh? What did they say?"
Mommy:"they told Ira a few hurtful lies, like you and Adrien not caring about him, they also called him names. I think now's the time for you to act like a dad for once and comfort your sons, ok?"
Daddy:"yeah, I was about to take care of it. C'mon boys."
Me and Ira:"ok, daddy."
Ira stopped crying now, but he was still a bit shaken. Daddy took us to our room and we all sat on my bed. Daddy comforted us both.
Daddy:"listen, those bullies don't know what they're talking about. Ira, me and your brother love you very much, so does your mother, don't listen to what people say, ok? Adrien, that was very brave of you to stand up for Ira, but next time, ask an adult for help, alright?"
Me and Ira:"yes, daddy."
Daddy hugged us both, then it was bedtime, we stopped hugging, and daddy gently told us to go to bed, then he went out of the room. Ira got off of my bed and went over to his, which was right beside mine. I got off of my bed and turned off the lights. Then I went back to my bed and got under the blankets. After awhile, Ira got out of his bed and got into mine with me.
Me:"Ira? What're you doing?"
Ira:"I can't sleep."
Me:"oh, ok. You can sleep with me tonite then."

Young Ira's POV
We fell asleep after awhile, but then, around midnight, I woke up to hear yelling in the house, it sounded like mommy and daddy were fighting, I woke Adrien up and got him to come with me to check it out. The yelling got closer as we got closer to the living room. We peeked through the door, mommy and daddy didn't notice us though. Then mommy started singing.

(Imagine that there were no other two kids there, ok? Just the two younger ones. And imagine the parents have blonde hair.)

I couldn't believe what mommy was saying...did daddy..not love her anymore?...then, what mommy said next, made me start crying again.
Mommy:"I'm taking Ira away first thing tomorrow morning...and you won't stop me..."
I looked over at Adrien, and he was crying too. Daddy was on his knees, crying as well, so was mommy...finally, I said something,
Me:"...m-mommy?...what do you mean?...why are you taking me away?..."
I said, choking on my words, mommy's eyes widened as she realized that we had been here the whole time...daddy looked at me and Adrien...he looked so upset...that was the first time I had ever seen daddy upset. He was always happy...he always smiled...but now...he can't stop crying...
Me:"...why are you mad at each other?..."
Mommy didn't say anything, she just stood up, snapped her fingers, and then, I saw that Adrien and daddy were on the ground,
Me:"ADRIEN!! DADDY!! Mommy, what happened?!"
Mommy still didn't say anything, suddenly, I felt like I was falling asleep, mommy caught me, then I closed my eyes. My whole life flashed before my eyes.

Present day...

Grown Ira's POV
                                            I woke up, and I remembered everything! I looked at the time, it was 6:30 a.m. I didn't actually care though, I had to know if Adrien remembered everything too. I ran quietly out of my room and into to the room Adrien was staying in, to my surprise, he was already awake, like me.
Me:"Adrien...do you..."
Adrien:"yeah...you?"
I nod and sit on Adrien's bed beside him. For some reason, I felt a lot more comfortable with Adrien then anyone else, maybe because we're brothers. I felt like I could just be myself around him and mom, rather then be that jerk that everyone else thinks I am. I feel like I can be a lot more open around family then other people. I don't know why, maybe I'm just more comfortable that way. Whatever. At least I'm not the only one that remembers everything.
