Pushing Onwards

The first day

When Izuku opened the door to his new classroom he was greeted by an interesting scene. Katsuki was being scolded by the blue haired boy from the entrance exam. "Get your feet of the desk! It is an insult to your upper classmen and the makers of the desk!" The taller boy said with robotic movements pointing towards the feet of Katsuki that layed on the desk. "Fu*k off four eyes! Which school did you come from that shoved a stick up your ass!" the boy with glasses was taken back by the comment before colecting himself. "I am Tenya Iida from Somei high" "Ha! A fucking elitist for me to kill." "Are you sure you are in the right school?! Saying things like that to a fellow classmate" Before Katsuki could make a response Tenya had noticed Izuku standing in the doorway. "You are that boy from the exam. You noticed something that I did not with the exam and saved that girl. I admit that you... are a better hero than me" Izuku was slightly flustered by the thought of someone saying he was better than them. "N-no. I didn't notice anything, I just saved her beacuse it was the right thing to do. I'm Izuku Midoriya by the way" "I am Tenya Iida fro-" "Yes I know. I overheard you just now" Before the two boys could continue their conversation a third person appeared. "Midoriya! How are you?" a browned haired girl said cheerfully startling Izuku "Oh, Uraraka. I'm fine and you, looking forward to the first day?" Yes very much" she responded. Tenya the walked up to Ochako so he could introduce himself "I am Tenya Iida from Somei high nice to meet you" "Nice to meet you too" she replied.

Before anymore socialising could be done a yellow caterpillar appeared "If you are here to socialise then you can just leave" Everyone in the class quikly got to their seats as a tall tired man, that Izuku recognised as eraserhead, crawled out of the yellow sleeping bag. "It took you eight seconds to become silent. In a real battle you would all be dead. I am Shota Aizawa and I am your homeroom teacher. Remember his is the hero course and we are her to make you heros not friends, now take these and meet up at the PE grounds" He pulled out some UA gym uniforms and started to leave, but he had one more thing to say before leavin "Midoriya, you are allowed to use any equipment you have with you" Aizawa then walked out towards the PE grounds and waited for his student.

Eventually they all made their way to the PE grounds, where they were greeted by Aizawa lazily holding a ball. "You probably had these tests in middle school, where you couldn't use your quirks, but this is UA. You will be pushed to your limits and beyond meaning you will use your quirks in the following tests so that we can find your limits. Bakugo what was your best throw in middle school?" "67 meters" the student answered "Now try to throw the ball using your quirk, just don't leave the circle" Katsuki gave a small nod before walking into the circle and reading himself for the throw. "DIE!!" He yelled as he threw the ball and boosted it with a huge explosion. When the ball landed Aizawa showed the result on a phone-like device, which read 705,2 meters making the whole class shocked. "This is going to be fun!" A girl with pink skin "Fun you say? This is the hero course not a get together a resturant, so if you want fun then you can leave" the teacher said as a devilish grin spread on his face "What about this, the person in last place will be judged to have no potential and be expelled" he said as the whole class erupted. "Expelled!?" they all exclaimed "But it's the first day you can't expell us, it's unfair" Ochako said. "Unfair you say? Is natural disasters, villain attacks and accidents fair? The world of heros is unfair and you will have to learn that. Also, I can and will expell you if I believe you have no potential. Now I expect you to do your best and hold true to the school motto, Plus Ultra"

They then proceeded with the tests. On the 50-meter Izuku got 1,38 seconds using the odm-gear, beating Iida who got 1,53 seconds. In standing long jump he got 17 meters, in height jump he only got 2 meter since the odm-gear had no use. The only other exceptional result was with the gripstrength where he got 675kg thanks to the exosceleton. Then came the ball throw and he stepped into the ring. Izuku took out his staff and readied it for a swing. He threw the ball an smacked it with full force sending the ball flying for 436 meters. Afterwards when everybody was done Aizawa pulled up a holographic screen "Oh and about that expulsion. I lied, it was a ruse to get you to do your best" He said right before showing the results with Izuku in 5th place.

"Now get back to class in time for the rest of the classes and be faster this time" Aizawa said as he was about to leave, but was interrupted by someone asking a question "Why was Midoriya allowed to use his equipment, wouldn't that give him an unfair advantage?" It was Momo Yaoyorozu, she had black hair tied into a ponytail and had come third in the test. Aizawa stopped and turned around to look at the class "The reason he was allowed to use that equipment is beacuse he is quirkless" a gasp came from everyoone in the class, except Katsuki, before Aizawa continued "The fact that he has managed to get into UA should be a testament to his skills. For those who thinks he his a coward for hiding behind his gear should know something. I have seen him train with that equipment and it requires a lot of skill as far as I have seen. In addition there are many heros that also is reliant on support gear to be heros. Me and Snipe are examples of such heros. So I don't want you treating him differently than any other, since he will be pushed just as hard as any other. Now get to class" Aizawa walked away leaving Izuku to listen to all the comments.

"You're quirkless!?" "How did you get in?" "Thats really impressive!" "Thats so manly!" Before Izuku could give any form of response another voice shot in "DEKU YOU BASTARD!! YOU'RE JUST SUPPOSED TO BE A PEBBLE IN MY WAY!!" Bakugo shouted as he ran towards Izuku winding up a punch. Izuku saw it coming and dodged under it and made Bakugo tripp over and fall face first into the ground. "I have told you this before Kacchan. I'm not here to become better than you or to prove something. I'm here to become a hero so that I can inspire and save people. I'm here, get over it. We need to get to class anyways" Izuku told his childhood friend. As Bakugo got up from the ground the rest of the class was walking away, asking Izuku questions about his quirklessnes and him trying his best to make a response. "Stupid Deku. I will make you understand where you belong" The ash blonde haired boy muttered angerily to himself as he followed after the rest.

The rest of the day passed by with normal classes and nothing of interest happening. Eventually the first day of school came to a close and the heros in training was leaving for their homes. Izuku was walking towards the exit of UA when a few people ran up to him. "Midoriya!" Izuku looked behind him and saw two people coming towards him "Uraraka, Iida. Are you going the same way?" he asked them "Yes, I also whant to congrtulate you again for being accepted into UA. It is truly Inspiring" Iida answered. "Relax, it's nothing special. Anyone could have done it" the grren haired boy answered as he scratched the back of his neck. "Nothing special!" Uraraka exclaimed "No other quirkless person has ever made it into any hero school and you made it to UA. Stop being so humble all the time, you are allowed to receive some praise from time to time. By the way, why didn't you tell me you were quirkless at all during the weeks after the exam?" she asked. "Okay I guess it's a bit impressive. Also I din't tell you beacuse it din't come up" After that they walked thogether talking about normall stuff, getting to know eachother. Eventually they had to part ways and say goodbye for the day.

When Izuku got home and had answered a dozen or so question about how the day had been, he ate katsudon with his mom before starting his workout schedule. After completing the workout and getting a shower he went to his workshop for some late night work. He immediately started a muttering storm "I need to improve the speed of the odm-gear as well as the movement speed on the exosceleton, which I also need to improve the strength of so that I can do more. I need to get started on the net launching gun, I just need the net to be endurable as well as a good way to activate the shock fuction. The capture tape wrist launche also has a lot of work left and I need a good way to store the capture tape. In addition I need to reduce a lot of the weight, beacuse if the exosceleton should stop working I need to still be able to use the other equipment efficently. I should also send a backup blueprint of all the equipment to the UA support department in case anything is destroyed. Also if..." He continued to mutter to himself as he started to work on the gear. Since nobody where there to stop his muttering storm he kept going on until he went to sleep.

A/N: HA! Finished it before the end of the day! Chapters from this point forward will probably not come out regulary, but whenever I'm finished with a chapter. The next chapter will have combat practice and some other small stuff. I may also try out a slightly different writing style. I'm not sure yet. I guess you will have to wait and see.
