Chapter Four

Hello,
Am so very sorry for not updating
I was having a lot a of personal problems I had to work through .
and that took a lot of time, so sorry

Here is a new chapter, hope you enjoy it.

Eli's POV

      "Are you rejecting me? ",Carlos was livid  he looked as if he would tear me apart.

      "I -", I tried to explain because he  clearly misunderstood but I was cut off by a loud growl, before I could blink I was shoved against the wall, with Carlos pinning me down.
      Okay this was getting a little bit too much l was the alpha here, 
   I growled back at him  and he repeated the gesture trying to exert  dominance but I was not backing down .
   
I pushed him but he only stumbled,  then I tackled him, he fell with his back to the floor and sat on top of him and punched him twice before he rolled us over, I was expecting a punch but it didn't come.
    I opened my eyes ,which I had closed in my defensive mode,to see Emerald green eyes that stared deep at my own, it felt as if it could see my soul,he just sat there on me in my office staring at me with an expression I couldn't decipher.
 
I cleared my throat when it started to get awkward and creepy this seemed to knock him out of his trance-like/creepy state.
  
"oh- ...uh sorry" he said getting up, his expression was blank. 

"I wasn't quite thinking"he continued

"Clearly",I said my tone bitter.

"OK, am gonna go " He started towards the door then stopped, without facing me

"you aren't rejecting me right? " ,his tone a bit anxious.

I wasn't rejecting him but also wasn't accepting him and from the way he was acting he really did want this to work, I had to throw him a bone.

"No",I said softly, I could hear him sigh in relief

"But am also not accepting this bond",I added
      I didn't say I will let him have all of it, his shoulders slumped in disappointment, I smirked at my inner sadist. Then he walked out

God, I wasn't ready for this kind of drama, this is why I never wanted a mate, it was high maintenance, and it a was male, I don't know how this happened to me,  I have never been gay all my life, to top it all he was a dominant one,  I knew how gay matings work,  there was usually a dom and a sub, the dom wore the pants in the relationship and the sub took on the feminine role
        I don't know how this is supposed to work when the both of us are dominants and I am sure as hell that am not gonna be anyone's bitch.
 
    "uuuuggggghhhhh" this mate business is stressing me out .

Carlos' POV
  

It's been a week since we saw each other not that we were avoiding each other but I just didn't have the will to seek him out,   what he had said last time about not accepting the bond  made me angry at him because it hurt me and because he was acting like a brat, he wasn't the only one who  this bond is affecting, it's not like I was gay before but after waiting for my mate this long, I was not going to act picky, even though I was not okay with it,  I was going to try and make this work with him.
        I had decided earlier that after work I will meet him because we definitely needed to talk.
        I have been so busy lately, a couple in the pack had reported their child missing and after looking into it I found out some surrounding pack have also reported missing children.
    I gave the reports to the beta of the pack to look into it more but since then I haven't  gotten a reply yet.

A knock on the door startled me from my thoughts,
      "Elder carlos" a little voice called outside my door,
      "come in" , I replied
I look at my assistant, Kate as she entered my office ,she looked  like a China doll with long back hair, big doe eyes and a small and curvy frame but despite her  small frame she was very hardworking and effective.
    She cleared her throat "Er-, sorry for disturbing but I thought you should know, the beta has left the pack grounds".

   "OK thanks " I nodded at her.

Then she smiled and left. So the beta has left the pack grounds for the third time this week, hmmmmmmmm.

......................

      After I got of work, I went to looking for Eli, I didn't find him in his office and his assistant had said he had left an hour ago, so I decided to try the alpha's suite in the pack house but he wasn't there either .
 
Hmm so he thought he could avoid me, did he forget that I was his mate and I would know where he was even if he left the planet.
    I concentrated on the pull of the mate bond and then I walked to it's direction.
  
  God my mate can be very annoying, where did he run of to that I have been walking for thirty minutes .
      Soon I found my self at the front of a restaurant ,I could sense him in there but what was he doing there by this time of a Friday night.

I walked inside  and looked around,  to find Eli seated and smiling like it was Christmas, and he was seating with someone, it was a girl.
  He was caressing her hand and then he leaned forward and whispered in her ear, she giggled and leaned forward too and kissed him on his cheek, it was very clear that they were having a date.
    
  I clenched my teeth, anger searing through me.
   
      "Oh no, he didn't "
