Am I Bad Enough For You

I ran all the way to the alley. I'm so happy that we take showers everyday in gym or else I would smell like a hobo. When I was back at Jack's place I got this feeling, I guess like a 'homey' one. Like welcoming and loving, I don't know what that's like but I'm guessing.

I slide my back down the wall and started to cry. I can't believe Jack almost found out about my dad. What would happen if he did? Would he stop being my (sorta) friend? Would he hate me or think I'm disgusting? Will he think I'm weak? I'm exhausted and tired, from crying and stress. Before I know it, I'm asleep.

"Hey, wake up." I hear a voice, waking me from my slumber Looking up, I see its Jack, Rian and Zach. Why are they here? I wipe my eyes and look at them, my eyes full of concern as well as theirs. I guess I would have the same look if someone from your school is sleeping in an alleyway.

"Hey, Jack, Rian, Zach." I greet them, "What are you guys doing here?" taking the spotlight off myself fir as long as possible. "I could ask you the same thing, why are you sleeping in an alley?" Rian asks, his eyes casting to the dark alleyway. I shrug and kick my bag, hoping they won't notice. But of course someone does, Zach.

"What's that?" he asks, bending down to grab it. I can't let him take it. It has all my stuff in it. My clothes, shoes, hairbrush, everything. I step in front of it so he can't touch it but it doesn't stop him. Jack grabs me and pulls me over, while Zach grabs my bag.

"P-please. Don't open it. Seriously." I stutter pathetically, felling the waterworks coming. I've got to fucking man-up. Dropping my head, I realize I have lost and need to cone up with a lie because I don't think 'Hey. I left my abusive dad and brothers house and now I'm living on the streets' is going to cut it. I hear the zipper being opened And I won't look up.

"Clothes, shoes, jackets, hats? Alex why do you have all this?" Rian asks and I don't respond or look up. "Hey, it's alright. Were nice people. Were not gonna hurt you, you know that." Jack whispers tiny ear, making Mr calm down a bit. I guess there's no other option now but to lie my way put of this, even though I suck at lying.. I wiggle out of Jack's grasp and look at the three guys, who's faces hold confusion and worry.

"I r-ran away." I deceit, hoping it will work. Almost immediately I'm bombarded by questions such as; 'Why' and 'How long have I been living like this'. I didn't think Jack believed me, I saw it in his eyes, but I know that Rian and Zach did.

"None of your guys business, I'm fine. Its only been two days." I tell them. Their mouths hang open a little, but as soon as they do it closes. Just as their about to speak I come up with a quick fix. "I'm going home today, I've realized I can't live on my own." I lie, hoping they'll buy it.

"Really? Do you need a ride?" Jack asks, his eyes glistening with concern. "No, I'm fine. I only live down a few blocks."

"Well then we'll walk you. We want you to actually go home." Zach says and grabs my bag, slinging it across his shoulder. Before I can say anything Jack and Rian grab my hands and drag me down the road.

"Well, this is me." I say embarrassingly, standing outside the fence. I don't meet thier gaze, haven't they caused enough? If my dad or Ronnie finds out I'm even close to here they'll kill me, literally. As you can tell my dad isn't afraid to use a knife.

"You...you live here?" Rian asks and I nod. Jack already knew I lived here so he didn't say anything. I hopped over the fence quietly, trying to make as little noise as possible. The last thing I need is any more pain. "Wait!" I here someone yell. I then around, its Jack. He hops over the fence, telling Rian and Zach to stay there, and comes over to me.

"You are not staying there." he says and grabs my hand, dragging me back towards the fence. "Why?"

"I put the fucking pieces together, your coming home with me."

Short chapter but cliffy
