when I finally got home, Clear practically jump on me.

Her eyes red and her face wet, as she told me of how she had gotten home late and saw that I have yet to arrive but figured I had decided to study late at school or perhaps even at Keith's, I had not the courage to inform her that, that friendship had gone cold by orders of Kaiden. when the sun began to set and she had yet to receive word from me, she began to panic and just as I entered the house, she was on the phone with the police.

I could not tell her of the events of this evening, by the hand of the person I had her promise to keep quiet about. taking my bag, shoes, and phone as he abandoned me in an unknown neighborhood, for fear that it might be too much for her and she may find it necessary to g back on her word.

So I lied, an action that I loaded taking art in and would have normally gotten caught if not for our current state. I told her that I had boarded the wrong bus and got robbed of the previously listed items when I got off at the last stop.

Clear hugged me tightly for a moment, refusing to let go. I hate having to lie to her the most, we, not mentioning Ageta our housekeeper who came by every so often, spent the most time at home, and so in each others presence.

My father came home on most nights, but it was always at late hours and he would be gone before I headed off to school. And my brother, at college.

We were always in each other company and I considered her as both my mother and friend, so lying to her felt worst than lying would generally. However, I would continue to do it meant she would not worry.

Clear offered to allow me not to attend classes the following day but I refused.

Who knows what Kaiden would do if I were to miss a day. When she finally released me from her grip, I hurried up the stairs, cleaning up before having dinner and went to bed. Not spearing a single glance at what remained of the stalk of worksheets on my desk.

Days passed by quickly, I finished with the extra homework before the deadline, and only saw Kaiden from a distance: in the halls, in the field, it felt as though he were following me, it was unsettling.

Know that it was Friday, I would not have to worry about him as often for he should be on a class rip of 3 weeks the following school days.

After waiting for the halls to be cleared, I made my way to his locker, placing the worksheets into it and made haste out the door and down the driveway, with every intention of getting home before he could spot me. As I did, I noticed a tall man in a dark suit walk past me, his face slightly wrinkled and his posture nearing perfection. He was undoubtedly a butler and I vaguely recalled seeing him alongside Kaiden several times prior.

I stopped in my tracks, unmoving until the tall older man returned, he walked in the same pace, back the way he came with the large binder I once possessed beneath his arm as he strides pass me. I waited from him to be out of sight than a bit longer to ensure they had left, before continuing away from the school. partaking in activities that did not even slightly concern Kaiden had become a rare occurrence since we met, however, this day I had managed to make plans and nothing would quite ruin them like an encounter with him.

It took me a while, but eventually found myself driving down the street I had walked just a few nights prior. I do not mean to be rude, but it frightens me, even with the sun so high in the sky and my tinted windows rolled up.

Soon enough I came across the garage my savior had claimed to work in and pulled into the side of the street opposite the business.

I've been told multiple times that I was too innocent, pure in the way that saw the good in everyone, how I was accepting and only saw the positive. But, that was not entirely true, whether I was innocent or not, I knew of the world, maybe not as much as others but enough to know it was not all ice cream and flowers.
