He was ever so gentle to her, playing with her and making her laugh.

Like when they were at the pool and he refused to even sit on the lounge chairs.
Claiming that they were unsanitary.
He hated germs, but ofcourse it was from trauma he had.
Mother always came to take him away for the week.
Not once glancing or acknowledging Asuka.
Reason being said Asuka wasn't villain enough for her mother to even admit she exist.
She would glare at her when she came by.
Making Asuka hid behind Kai or her dad.
Kai never once let that woman see his fear.
Their dad would refuse to let Kai go, not wanting him to suffer for her harsh and cruel ambitions for him to become the strongest villian of all.
Kai would clutch onto his father, tears threatening to fall down his cheeks.
She would harshly grab his tiny arms and yank him off, Asuka begging her to just let him go
Her father would beg her to just leave the family alone and pursuit something that wasn't his only son.
Their marriage wasn't love
It was a Quirk marriage, arranged to only produce strong offspring
Kai was born with a Quirk that could disassemble and Reassemble things.
Ofcourse she was born with speed.
Kai hated his quirk, saying it was a sickness that needed to be cured.
The torture he went through from their mother affected him badly.
