Chapter 22 Awake

Mirio had went home, but not without a fight.
Asuka was still unconscious, taped to breathing machines and I.V's , trying to hold on for the night.
But her breathing had worsened and her broken bones were taking to long to heal.
Midoria had visited regularly, he told Mirio about Eri and how he was progressing in his training.

Aizawa sat in the chair beside Asuka, looking at her. Bruises and scratches littering her once smiling face.
He frowned and dipped his head, fighting back tears. He took hold of her hand and brought his head to rest on her knuckles.
"Asuka, you better not be giving up dammit" he said hoarsly.
Memories of her flooded his mind as he sobbed into her palm.
"I-i didn't train you to j-just give up" he said angrily.
She reminded him of an old freind he lost when he was young.
Her grin, and humour reflected so much like his old freind.
"Mirio wouldn't want you to give up!" he shouted.

After the sob fest, A nurse came to let him know that Asuka had a non relative visiter. A young reporter that was doing a documentary on the Shie hassaski and somehow Asuka was part of it.
Aizawa glared at her as she fanned over Asuka who again was in a coma. As the young reporter made a move towards her Aizawa stood in her way and shook his head.
"Don't touch her, she's recovering" he growled.
She held her hands up to show she wasn't going to harm her and he sat back down.
The reporter looked over Asuka as she noted the Hero's Ragged breathing.

"She's not doing good on that recovering is she?" She asked. He snapped his head up and glared at her as she stepped back at his furious expression.
"She's doing fine" he snapped, he got up and walked towards her as she backed up to give him room.
"Who do you think you are to come in here and criticize a Hero's health" he barked.

She just smiled at him softly before lowering her head.
"I'm very sorry, I don't mean to upset you. But I'm here based on my quirk" she explained.
"I'm here to save her from her Mother's own doing" she said with urgency.
Aizawa cocked his head, not really understanding her.
"if she goes to the wrong place before I can grab her and guide her to her family she'll come back twisted and angered" she begged.
Aizawa shook his head and reached for the Nurse button.
"STOP, please. I'm here to save her so she can return to us as HER" she said now.
Aizawa didn't know what to do, what if what she is saying is true and Asuka's mother is waiting to Torture her in between dimensions so she'll come back a villain.
Shota didn't want that, not for her or Mirio.
He sighed and shook his head, moving out of the way for the Young girl.
"Don't even think about tricking me and hurting her, or I'll deal with you personally" he warned her.
She nodded and moved to take the seat beside Asuka's medical bed.
Gently taking her hand and closing her eyes.
"I need you to be very quiet, you'll hear her, but I assure you I'll protect her" she promised him. He hmphed and nodded before watching them.

---------Asuka's Pov-----------
After the Agonizing pain of the Sonic blast Asuka saw black. Nothing but black as she kept walking in a large black space. "Hello?" She called as she desperately looked for any sign of someone else.
No answer, she grabbed her chest in anguish as memories flooded her. Her fighting Kai, and......... Killing him,Along with her.
"What have I done" she screamed in agony.
As her sobs turned to whimpers she heard a movement behind her and turned. Hands raised to fight off anything that wanted to hurt her.

"Asuka, what have you done?" The smooth feminine voice asked in anger.
Asuka recognized it and shook her head in panic.
"No, no your dead" she covered her eyes as the voice cackled.
"Yes, but so are you" she growled. Asuka tried running but something tripped her and she fell.
"I-i'm not dead, no I'm not!" she screamed covering her ears and trying to drown out the evil voice of her Mother but it found its way inside her head.
"And their celebrating the Death of you and Your Brother" she whispered.
Asuka tried to hit her but ended up hitting herself.
"NO!" She denied
The voice formed into a mouth and grinned.
"Yes they are, and I have proof" she said with offer.
Asuka didn't want to believe but she had to see it with her own eyes that she was right.
"S-show me!" She strangled in a sob as the Mouth's grin got more wider. It opened its mouth wide and then a light and music and laughter played. It showed Mirio, Nejire and Amajiki at a party laughing and dancing. Then the next thing Asuka saw shattered her. A random girl came up to Mirio and they kissed. Asuka fell to her knees and screamed. Hitting the ground and cursing her mother.
"See, the young man has forgotten about you, just as your friends have after they learned you were Kai's Sister" she manipulated Asuka.
Asuka clenched her fist and rage began filling her heart as angry tears flooded her vision.
Her mother smiled with glee, placing a clawlike hand on Asuka's Shoulder.
"You can make them pay when You awake again. Then you can rule over all of Japan" she enthused as she held her hand out to Asuka who was blindsighted by Rage.
Before Asuka could even lift her arm a warm hand grabbed her shoulder gently.
She turned, eyes glaring until they widened and tears formed.
"You are not going to listen to her, your coming with me" a familiar voice said.
Kai was their before her wearing white and smiling with a real genuine smile.
"Y-your here?" She asked as he pulled her into a warm hug.
"I'm here thanks to you, and Dad. I was so lost in life and I repented for it" he breathed out as he laid his head on hers.
"KAI!, I thought you were a villain?" Their mother screamed out in rage.
He pulled away to glare at her.
"I was, but I changed" he said taking Asuka's hand and pulling her away from their mother who was practically steaming.
"Y-you saw your boyfriend with that woman" she pointed out trying desperately to try and manipulate her more but Kai had a strong grip on her shoulder.
"You lied, that can't be Mirio. He would never do that to me" she said turning away from her mother who tried to grab her but her hand went through them.
"NO!, you can't leave me here. Not like this" she cried.
For once as the light pulled them away from her Asuka looked to her brother and saw pity on his face.
"You brought this upon yourself mother, if only you made room in your heart to love us" he spoke before the light swallowed them up.

As soon as Asuka felt the tickle of grass and the smell of flowers she opened her eyes and looked up astonished.
It was a beautiful view of a meadow with flowers and trees.
Kai took her hand and led her to a shaded place where someone sat. As soon as they were under the tree Kai let go of her hand and went to sit down next to someone.
Asuka almost dropped from joy and pain when her eyes landed on her Father who sat with a wide gentle grin.
His eyes shined with happiness as he patted Kai on the shoulder and motioned for her to sit down in front of them.
"Well, if it isn't my little girl. How much you've grown" he beamed.
Kai just rolled his eyes and smiled at his father.
"What are you doing here?, I would have expected you to come to me when you either retired from being a hero or old age" her father said with sadness.
Asuka frowned and didn't quite understand what her father was saying.
"Did you not want me here?" She asked confused.
He shook his head and sighed, "Not at this age, not so young" he said.
But his look of anguish melted and he smiled.
"I am proud that you have Saved your brother, even though it was til the end" he turned to playfully glare at his son who avoided eye contact.
She giggled at the comment and smiled as they playfully bickered then something caught her Fathers attention.
"Who are you?" He asked
Asuka turned around and saw a young girl approach.
"I mean no harm, I was here to save Asuka but it seems her brother beat me to it" she smiled.
Then she looked down at Asuka and held her hand out.
"Asuka, it's not quite time yet to join him, I'm sure your father knows that as well" she nodded to him.
He sighed and held his son back from protesting.
"I was aware, Asuka I assume their are a lot of people who still need you" he said as he stood to help her up.
She jogged him and held out her other arm for Kai to get in on the departing gesture.
They hugged and cried as Asuka finally took her hand waving to her Father and brother.
"Well next stop, the living world" the girl cheered as everything went white.

Aizawa watched as the girl opened her eyes and held her head, a bit dizzy from her quirk.
Then Asuka gasped and snapped her eyes open, lifting slowly up but grimacing at her wounds.
Aizawa ran over to envelope her in a hug.
"Don't you ever pull a stunt like that again" he growled as he gently pulled away to flick her on her nose.
"Ow, that's still broken" she said as he just shook his head.
"Now let's get your Boyfriend in here" the girl said smiling.
