Starlight Sparkle was sitting under a medium sized apple tree, a book lying in front of her. The book was on Equestrian legends, a very popular and interesting subject. Her horn glowed with a purple aura as she turned one of the intricately illustrated pages. She looked at the title on the page. "The Frozen Mare".
"Interesting," she muttered.
The page spoke of a powerful alicorn mare who wanted to cover Equestria with a massive sheet of ice, so she could rebuild it. She would bring her ice pony subjects with her to create a new population of chilly ponies. Everypony else was suffocated inderneath the thick ice.
Princess Luna and Princess Celestia rallied together and used their magical powers to banish the evil ice queen to Tartarus. She was imprisoned in a magical orb, levitating above a pit of lava.
Some ponies believe that she has been storing her power, and 1000 years after she was imprisoned, she would break free and freeze all the land!
Starlight gasped. Every 10 years, the ponies of Equestria celebrated the Summer Sun Celebration. It must have another meaning!
