My eyes slowly opened.  Sunlight was seeping through the window illuminating the room.  Where am I?  Then I remembered everything.  It was like a slap in the face, but worse.  The memories of everything that happened 3 weeks ago came flooding back.  Now I'm in LA, at my Aunt Jennah's house.

Today we have to go shopping.  I need some clothes and other necessities.  I also need some school supplies.  I'm starting school here in 2 days.

I get out of bed and go to the kitchen.  I'm pretty hungry.  I think I'll make some pancakes.  I'm not used to this house, so it takes me a little longer to find the ingredients.

Pretty soon the wonderful smell fills the kitchen.

"Good morning Chloe." Aunt Jennah says walking in.

"Morning, would you like some pancakes?" I ask her.

"Sure, thank you," she said getting some plates out.

During breakfast she talked about growing up with my mom, her sister.

I miss my mom.

After we ate I went back to my room to get ready.  My room has a bathroom in it which is nice.  I took a shower and changed into some black ripped jeans and a comfy black sweatshirt.

We got in the car and drove to the first store.  I found a few clothes I liked.  Then we went to another store... and then like 5 more stores.

After a few hours of shopping we head back to her house.

Then I took the tags off, folded them, and put them in my dresser. I was nearly done when my phone started ringing. Someone wanted to FaceTime me. It was Taylor.

I have been friends with Taylor for 9 years. We met in 2nd grade at school. I miss her.

I quickly answer the phone.
