(UNEDITED))
That night I had actually decided to touch my homework. That was it. I touched it. And still, I managed to maintain an A/B average in all of my classes.
I hadn't realized when I fell asleep. It was one of those deep sleeps that you can't tell whether or not you dreamt. But it was slowly fading away as a him grew louder and louder. With my mind registering reality, I blindly reached my hand to get my phone from the nightstand. I'd knocked something over, but I was in search of the phone to stop the buzzing.
My hand closes down on the vibrating object. I squeezed it a second.
This is why I turn the damn thing off! Who the hell is calling me?!
"What?" I grunted through gritted teeth.
"Are you coming or not?" The voice said. A following honking came from outside. I snapped my eyes open.
"My alarm didn't go off!" I turned to find that what I'd knocked over earlier was my clock. 7:00.
"Oh, shoot! Oh crap!" I flew off the bed and went to brush my teeth and wash my face.
"We're gonna be late." Randy said.
"I'm aware, Randy." I said through a foamed mouth.
She was still on the phone as took a quick shower. "Hey, at least we have a real excuse this time. I wonder if we could miss all of first period."
"Randy. I'm not intentionally skipping class. I have two strikes." I explained as I threw on a pair of sweats and black tee shirt.
"Two strikes? What'd you do?" She asked.
I was already out of the door, jogging towards her truck. "Well, the first one was with you after the Jaycee incident and the other is with coach." I'd already hung up and was talking to her.
"Ah, grasshopper. One must learn to not get caught." She said turning the key in the ignition.
"Let's go, Randy, we're already late."
"Fine." She rolled her eyes. "But, it was you who made us late to began with."
"Okay, okay. It was all me, now let's go."
"It's not all your fault, I mean I--"
"Randy!"
She smirked. She was stalling so we'd miss first period. I don't completely disagree. It was Mr. Clark's homework that I'd decided to touch last night. "Alright, hold your fire." We laughed and she finally took off.

Randy had purpose missed the turn to the school three times. We officially skipped first period and was running late for second.
I ran in right at the last second, welcomed by a glares from Ms. Beady. Randy slipped in when Beady wasn't looking.
First thing that caught my attention was Calvin. He was here today. He was throwing his head back laughing with a guy that sat next to him. He wore a pair of dark RayBans that matched the color of my tee shirt.
He waved at me and I nodded in his direction.
Should I ask him where he was? Why he missed school? What was with the sunglasses?
"I hope you all studied last night!" Ms. Beady called above the chatter.
"Studied?" I thought out loud.
"Yes, studied." She stared down at me. "For the test." She jerked her thumb towards the board behind her. "You wrote the reminder."
I look at the writing in green marker. I did write it. Crap.
