CHAPTER FIVE:
BUT SWEET PEOPLE.

                    Alexa Cahill had been right.

She remembered how Tony had avoided her the first week while she was in the tower. She also remembered how everyone had shown their worry and sympathy for her. Something that she was grateful for every day.

While living with her friends, she had completely forgotten about the basket problem. She even had forgotten the weird sensation that it gave her being in her house. But soon she would have to go back to take some clothes, given the fact that she didn't want to buy more clothes and didn't want to steal them from her friends.

So the redheaded came back to her house, with Clint Barton.

Even though they wear casual attires, the girl was certain that the archer carried with him some weapon hidden.

A chill went throughout her body when she opened the door, and she almost froze when she saw the basket on her table. Alexa took the paper while Clint looked in between the sweets—Kit-Kats this time—.

"'But sweet people,'" Alexa read. She didn't want to imagine what it was the rest of the sentence: but sweet people are easy to kill... they're easy to catch, they're easy to break. There were too many possibilities, and none of them were good.

Clint took the paper and let it on the table. "Let's take whatever you need and let's get out of here."
