CHAPTER SIX

CHAPTER SIX:
BUT SWEET PEOPLE
ARE HARD TO FIND.

                    Alexa Cahill almost screamed when she noticed that there weren't any of her favourite chocolate bars left. She closed the fridge before screaming out, "Pietro."

      The speedster appeared in front of her a second later. "What's up, Al?"

      "You ate my chocolates, didn't you?"

      Wanda got into the kitchen, looking at her brother. "I told you to not annoy her, Pietro."

      "Hey! It wasn't me!" Pietro said. "Why do you always think it's me?"

      "Maybe because you're always bothering me," Alexa replied, with an obvious tone.

      "What's happening?" Tony intervened.

      Alexa's eyes shined mischievously, knowing that Tony would be on her side. "Pietro stole my chocolates!" She poutted.

      The speedster scoffed. "I already told you, it wasn't me!"

      "Tony," the redhead murmured, hugging him. She was considerably smaller than him—than everyone, actually—so she looked up, opening her eyes.

      "Let's go," Tony announced, taking the keys between his fingers. "I'll buy you more chocolates."

      "Yay!" The girl cheered, laughing at Pietro's expression before going out with Tony. There was no doubt that Alexa Cahill was much happier while living in the tower, living with her friends.

                    Alexa Cahill's face turned into a frown when she saw Tony approaching her with a basket full of chocolate' bars.

      "I appreciate the chocolate, but not your joke, Stark," the redheaded replied, taking the basket. She was ready to take the chocolates and throw the basket away, but she froze an instant when she saw the paper note.

      She looked at Tony before looking back at the paper and taking it. "'Are hard to find," she read.

      The redheaded looked back at her friend, who smiled at her. "Sweet candy is nice to eat. Sweet words are easy to say. But sweet people are hard to find."

      "It was you," she babbled, surprised before hitting him. "Why did you have to scare me like that? If you wanted to play a joke on me, why didn't you do it as Pietro does? They're bad, but they only are for a few minutes. Not months, Tony! What's your problem?"

      "My problem is you," Tony interrupted her. "This is not a joke, Alexa. It's my stupid way of saying that I like you and that I would like to be more than friends with you. I love how you are and I can't help but enjoy every second I spend with you."

      "But-" Alexa was going to protest, but she was interrupted again by Tony Stark's lips.
