Chapter 1

Briar Pov

I am running to school, because I slept in today. As soon as I made it to school, I still had 5mins, phew, so I decided to go to my locker. All of a sudden, someone pushes me over, I look up and shouldn't be surprise to see Abi and her gang laughing at me and calling me names. I get myself back on my feet. If you are wondering who Abi is, she is the popular girl of the school and can get any guy she wants, she is practically the boss of the whole school, and is the teacher pet.

I am grabbing my lunch, and heading over to an empty table, and this cute guy slides into the sit next to me.

INTERCOM

Myles Erlick please come to the principals office.

The cute guy next to me stands up and walk towards the principle office. Oh, so thats his name is.

Myles Pov

I walk into my new school this morning and see this beautiful girl at her locker. But then I see Abi bullying her. Me and Abi broke up just a few weeks ago, and she dances at CDC dance studio and is like the weakest dancer there. Its lunch, and I see the same pretty girl from the morning sitting by herself. I walk up to her, and as I slide into the seat, I hear my name called from the intercom. It said, Myles Erlick please come to the principles office. I open the door to Mrs Jenningss office, my new principle, and she greets me with a warm smile.

"Its nice to have you with us Myles, I am sure you will settle in quite fine at Toronto High. Now I have now assigned you a buddy for the year, She is one of our top dancers at T.H (Toronto High) and I think you two will get on really well! I will call her now."

Says Mrs Jennings with a wink.

INTERCOM

Briar Nolet please come to the principals office.

Briar Pov

Its halfway through lunch, and my name gets called over the intercom. Im called to the principals office. I hope Im not in trouble.

Im consoling myself outside Mrs Jennings door, I tell myself, be bold. I push open the door confidently, and when I see whose on the other side, my face drops. Myles Erlick, the cute guy that tried to sit next to me, I'm suddenly self-conscious and trying to hide me face with my straightened hair.

"Ahh, Briar there you are. I was just telling our transfer student from, Ottawa all about you." Said Mrs Jennings

I blushed behind my luscious hair. As Myles looked at me.

"His name is Myles Erlick and you will be his buddy for the year. His locker is right next to yours, and he will be in the same classes. Oh, and I forgot to tell you, both of you have been chosen do perform a duet at the grade thirteen leavers assembly."

"Wait, Myles dances?"

"Yes he is the best dancer in Ottawa"

"Now off you go, class is about to start."

Myles Pov

Right now, Briar is showing me where my class is, because it turns out that she is my buddy. I am so happy that she was chosen to be my buddy, she is pretty and she is a very good dancer apparently.

Now we have math then bio. Me and Briar were in the top math class and the top bio class as well. To be honest I can't believe how smart she is! She is soo good at everything.

"Here is our math class." says Briar, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Ok thanks, do you want to come over to my house after school?"

"Sure, can we go to my house as I'm looking after my mother after her surgery." She starts crying little, so I put my hand on her back and gently rub it.

Briar Pov

I'm walking towards Myles car, because I'm not old enough to drive yet. I get in, and the world stops for a second, as Myles and I look into each others eyes. We only just start driving, I feel the car smash into something, then everything goes black.
