Chapter 8

Myles Pov

It's been 2 hours waiting for Tamera reply, she probably busy. I should go and visit Briar at the hospital, since she will be getting discharge this afternoon.

I make my way to my car and drive to the hospital. While I driving I started to get sweaty and nervous, wow, my feelings for Briar are developing fast, but remember, she doesn't like you that way. Ugh that's really hard to remember.

When I arrive at the hospital, I went to Briar room, but it was empty, I quickly ran to the nearest counter and asked where Briar Nolet was.

"Hi, let me check for you."

"Ok thanks."

"She was discharged, about 2 days ago."

"What." I said bluntly

"I ran out of the hospital, and got in my car and drove to Briar's parents house."

As soon as I got there, I ran out of the car, and practically pounded there door, since I didn't know where Briar lived. Tamara answered the door.

"Hello Myles, what brings you here today?"

Me, still being so puffed out, and barley could speak toke my a few seconds to catch my breath.

"Did you know that Briar was discharged 2 days ago? I blurted out

"What really?"

"Yeah"

"Do you want to come in and talk Myles?"

"Sure."

"Myles I don't know about you but, Briar had been acting a little off since I had surgery. Have you noticed anything?"

"Yes, yes I have, when I met her, she was all nice and kind hearted, then when I texted her, she was more defensive and rude, no offense there."

"No it's ok, I'm just glad you told me."

"She is probably at her apartment now, but I'm going to call her to see what's going on.

"Ok."

She picks up her phone and calls Briar, we waited a few minutes, but it went straight to voicemail.

"Briar isn't picking up, that's not like her, she usually always picks up her phone, especially if it's me."

"That's ok, just tell me if you get any update with her, I will see Briar at school, so maybe I could asks her then."

"Yes please asks her, and tell her to text me as well."

"Ok will do. I'm going to go now, take care."

"You too, bye."

I get into my car and put my head into my hands and wonder, what the heck is going on!! I just met her, and she is so mysterious but will wonderful. Anyway I should get back home, since I've got she studying to do, and school is tomorrow.

Briar Pov
I have to see Devon again today, as he has another task for me, but this time he said to bring nothing with me, and to make sure that no one knows where i'm going. That usually no worry for me, because Devon forced me to distant myself from everyone, that was hard, but worth it.

When I arrive at the address he sent me, I get out of the car and look around, since it was a very creepy and scary alleyway. After about 5 seconds, I hear Devon call my name.

"Hi, Briar." He says making me scared.

"Hi.... Devon...."

"So you are wondering why I brought you here today.

Devon Pov
Right now my plan is in action, all I have to do is lure pathetic Briar into my car.

"Yes." She says stuttering

"Well I need you to close your eyes for 10 seconds."

"Ok." She says stuttering again.

I signal my guys to get ready to open my car door and grab her. I start counting.

"1, 2, 3, 4, 5-"

As soon as I get to five I signal to my guys to go now. They grab her while she is shouting let go of me let go of me. I said to put a clorine cloth over her to stop shouting. Then I got into the car and drove away.

Myles Pov
I am going out to buy a few things for dinner. I get into my car and start driving to the grocery store. While I was driving, I saw Briar car, I decided to follow her but not get to close. So I stayed as far back as possible, but still able to see her. I follow her for about 15min till she pulls up in a alleyway, i stay hidden behind I rubbish bin and listen and look once in a while. I see her get out of her car, and look around then I hear someone call her name.

"Hi, Briar." A man said.

She replied saying hi to him and his name is Devon.

I look around and see some guys in a corner behind Briar, then I see a car. I had a bad feeling about this so I take of my watch and feel if there is any sort of compartment under the car, after a while of feeling a find a compartment near the tire. I take off the straps of my apple watch and make sure it was on silent and the tracker was on. Then I heard Briar screaming, I wanted to help her but couldn't since I already had a plan in place. Just as I thought she was dragged into the car and then he drove away with the guys in the car.
