Briar Pov

The doctor just came in to tell me that I can be discharged in 3 days. UGH that's too long, I need to get out of here NOW. Now lets see, hmm. Wait a moment I'm 18, I just turned 18 last week. That means I can, discharge myself out. Then my phone goes off.

Hi, this is Myles how are you?

Aww that so sweet, but he can't get involved with me. I have a lot of dark secrets that he can't know of. Anyway what was I going to do. Yes can a nurse to get discharge papers.

I press a button to call the nurse. The nurse comes in.

"Hi, can I please discharge myself out of the hospital please?"

"Umm, I think you should stay a bi-."

I cut her off and say," Can I please have the discharge papers please, I'm 18?"

"Ok, but at least let me tell the doct-."

I cut her off again, "I'm fine can I please have the discharge papers now?"

"Ok...."

"Thanks" I said bluntly.

I look at my phone again, and send a text to him.

Hi Myles, I'm great. I would advise you to stay away from me, we can meet up in the next week to start rehearsing our routine. Thanks, Briar.

Sorry Myles...

The nurse walks in with the discharge papers.

"Here you go please sign here and here. Then you are free to leave."

I sign the papers and pass them to the nurse.

Finally I can leave. I pretty sure my grandparents are looking after mum and dad. That means I can go to my apartment now.

That should make it stop. Then I remember my phone. I rush to my phone to see if Briar replied. When I turn on my phone I see this.

Wow, I guess she doesn't feel the same about me. Oh that upsetting. But there is something off here. When I meet her she was kind and genuine. But now she is all defensive. There must be something I don't know. I quickly find Tamera contact.

Hi Tamera, I was wondering if Briar okay? She is just acting quite strange.

Wow, that sounds desperate. But I need to know if she is okay.

I then reply to Briar text.

Sure we can meet up sometime next week, how about next Tuesday to Thursday at my place?

Ok that should give me enough time to figure what's going on. I get some bread out of the fridge and put some Nutella on it. All I can think about is Briar, like she doesn't have any friends, she doesn't have any siblings that I know of. All I know she is close to her parents. She is a kind girl, well kind off. What am I missing here? To be honest I don't know, I will just have to wait for the that text from Tamera. Since it's the weekend I am going to go to the gym, since I have nothing else to do in the meantime.

Briar Pov

I make sure I've got everything, my phone, wallet, cards, lip gloss, lip stick and the secret package. Right everything set, time to go to the club and find Devon.

(Devon a gang leader)

I have arrived at the club and straight away I see him. He motions me to come and sit next to him. I refuse and stand opposite him.

"Hello, Briar."

"Hi, Devon..." I try to say without him sensing my fear.

"Now down to business, have you got my package?"

"Yes, I have." I say confidently

"Ok good now show me the goods, and here is the money."

I show him the goods and he snatches it from me. And I take the money.

"Thanks for the package I'll be in touch with you for your next task."

"Ok, bye." I say without showing any fear.

I hope in the car and drive straight to my apartment. The money is for my college funds and my mums recovery money. We had to use most of my money for my mums recovery. Now I'm trying to get money for my college payment.
