I hear sirens in the distance and look around and see that I'm in a hospital stretcher. I frantically look for Briar in the chaos, but she wasn't anywhere to be seen. Tiredness takes over my body, and I slowly fall asleep.
BEEP...BEEP...BEEP
I wake up and look up, and see a machine with moving lines that beep to indicate my heart beat. I hear hushed whispers and look around to see my 2 brothers, my mum and my dad.
I see a nurse and demand to see Briar. But to my devastation she says:
"Briar has been in a coma, since the car crash."
"What crash?"
"A car drove straight into the passengers side of the car." I gasp as she said these words. "The police will come to talk to you soon."
As soon as the nurse walked out, I quickly got out of the hospital bed to rush to find Briar's room. But I was stopped by police coming into my room.
"Son, we need to ask you a few questions about the crash, and answer questions that you might have"
They lead me back to my bed, and he starts asking me what I knew about the crash. I told them that we were just driving along the road, when something crashes into my car, it spins to a stop and I don't know what happens after the crash.
Then the policemen asked me a question.
"Do you have any relationship with someone named Abi Bergman?"
"I nod my head, and say she's my ex girlfriend. And what he tells me next astounds me.
